02 c32 AMG fuel pump issue? Died all of the sudden won't start no cel or warning.
SubscribeSo I bought my c32 amg a couple months ago, and love it I use it to commute about 100 miles a day or so. So I'm driving to NYC today and as I reach where I'm about to park my car shuts off and won't start. It cranks over but won't fire, so I'm assuming that it has to be a fuel issue. Now the car has over 100k on it and does get driven daily. From the little that I've read on my iPhone it seems to be a pretty stright foward fix? I'm wondering if anyone has had to change one of these before? Is the any was I couple upgrade to a walbro 255 with minimal hacking of oem parts/ rewiring, does the car have a FPR so can can just throw a higher volume pump on? Or is it best to stay with oem/ oem replacement? Also can this be changed out without dropping the tank?
Thanks in advanced, and yes I am mechanically inclined, I'm a machinist.

The fuel filter has a built in flow regulator. As far as I know you can use a higher output or aftermarket pump with the OE filter and get the correct flow.

Thanks seems like every replacement pump comes with both left and right side assmeblys, I'm going to have to call the dealer and price everything out it also seems like there's a special tool for the job, I'm going to have to look into it further when I get off at 7am.Originally Posted by gt4awd

Has to be the CPS fired up this morning after sitting in low teen temptures, then left me stranded 20 mins from my house. Waiting for it too cool off now but at least I have a cel and a day off to work on it finally, but it's showing signs of fuel pump issues. (when I get to quarter tank it doesn't read on the fuel gauge anymore).
just replaced my crank sensor and the car wont start, replaced it with a bosh and still have the 355 code my little hand held scanner wont even delete the code, now the battery is disconnected I'm going to leave it off for a few and retry it.
I do not know how you guys did this crank sensor on your backs, my arms were psyically to fat to get the bolt back in I just didn't have enough clearance. Luckly my skiny is finish it up for me while I'm at work.
