Headlight questions
I want the headlights my buddy had on his 05 C230 sport which are the nice projectors...
I have a 02 AMG
I go to ebay and see a million different styles.....7000K, 8000K etc.
Which is best?? Thanks

Heard DEPO is hit and miss which is why I'm hesitant myself.. but if one thing I want to get rid off ASAP is my old style headlights.. just don't want to compromise on quality/light output etc.

I figured the clear lens would work with my setup, but further research suggests the light pattern would be screwed... Must find new style OE headlights!

The easiest and may be the cheapest way in a long run is to contact Steve from www.mbenznl.com for an OEM set.

The light pattern and cutoff on my depos are terrible, my projector fogs however are amazing and light up most of the road for me. It'd be nice to have OEM bixenons but hard to spend that much money on headlights...

Ok after reading a lot of other topics, I want to clarify something. When I purchased this car I was told it had xenon's, but since I don't kow the difference between biXenons's and normal Xnon's I'm not sure.
My only quarral with them is the lens is what someone else in another topic said "frosted" and from what I read you can have them cleared so they look like the crystal clear xenons. Is this correct?

Not correct... The frosted lens are just that. They do yellow a lot over time, but even in new condition still frosted. You can change just the lens, but the light pattern will be shot. Bi-xenon headlights are both high beam, and low beam HID.

Generally, there's four types of headlights: frosted, clear, projector, and bixenon projector. This information is for cars in general, not just yours.
Frosted lenses use specifically located lines in the lens to project the light onto the road. If you remove this (put in a clear lens) you will get terrible light output. I had a friend do this and his light pattern was a donut when projected on a wall lol. This came in both halogen and xenon versions.
Clear lenses use specifically designed reflectors to aim the light onto the ground and the clear lenses make the car look newer/nicer. Came in both halogen and xenon versions.
Projectors use a parabolic reflector, glass, and cutoff shield to project the light onto the road. They're well liked due to their smaller size, sharper cutoff ability compared to the first two, and lower amount of scattered light for oncoming traffic. Come in both halogen and xenon version.
Bi-xenon projectors are the same as the above projectors, except that the shield is on a movable motor. When you turn on the high beams, the shield moves out of the way and you have the full 360 degree ring of light that projects out. Since this is normally a xenon bulb (I have never really seen a bi-halogen projector marketed), that means that you are putting out a lot of light on the road. Normally found on most higher end cars.
