Front License Plate Mount
I bought my car from Alberta, where it is not required to have a plate on the front of your car. Unfortunately I live in Ontario and the laws here require I get one. After getting pulled over twice in week for this (and getting a ticket!) I called MB and was told the parts for the front plate would run me between $100-$175 + extra for the install. Seems like a total rip off! Anyone here know what parts I need to get a front plate mounted to my car? I'd prefer OEM brackets as I don't want to do a hack job or any unnecessary damage.
thanks!

OEM Plate mount is going to require you to drill holes into the bumper. I would strongly suggest you look into Tow Hook Mount License Plate Frames.

I bought these license plate frames a while back on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AMG-M...Q5fAccessories
You can see in the pictures they have two mounting holes in the top of the frame. I used black twist ties to mount the frame to the grill. This may sound tacky, but the twist ties are next to invisible, it securely holds the plate to the front of the car, it is easily removable, and most importantly, it doesn't involve any drilling into your bumper.

IMO if OP is putting the front plate on anyways, might as well do it OEM way and have a "cleaner" look. By cleaner I mean "less standing out" from other cars on the street.

IMHO, not placing a front plate on your car if you live in a state that requires is not a wise move. You are simply giving the a free and clear reason to pull you over.
@OP, sorry I don't have any pics of the plate with zip ties. You can see in this thread pics of the plate as it is currently positioned, but at that time I was using large bolts to affix the plate to the lower grill. It looks better with the zip ties as they are black and blend in with the black grill. https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c...ilver-c55.html
