c32 engine changed
Hi forum. i bought a c32 amg 2001 a while a go. and while coming back home my engine just blew up! (scary)... so after some time i talked to the mechanics and they said i need a new engine. so to save money i bought an ML 320 engine from japan. (was much cheaper).. and they mounted it, but used a lot of parts from the old engine. i am really bad at the whole engine part. soo now i am kinda scared to drive it. + the oil pan didnt fit from the ML so had to order a new c32 one. and i still have oil leaking somewhere inside. but didn't have the time to check it. + now i am not sure if the sensor for the oil is working properly. cause sometimes it just says add 1 litre and sometimes it doesn't. soo can u guys give me some suggestions. i don't want to sell the car. but it's really all falling apart, so i wanna invest some money in it but don't know where to start from, oo and also when i connect the front seat to the electric controls, it drains the battery like in 2 days!!! it has 205000 Km on it. don't know how much on the new engine. and also whenever i drive on bumpy roads it makes all kinda different squeaky noises. + getting parts for it is kinda hard in my country. (kazakhstan)!!!! HELP! PLEASE!!!

You put a 320 engine in a c32? Wow you're going to have some issues with that. The 320 engine is not supercharged, the c32 engine is. The computers are completely different. I'm surprised it even fit the C32 transmission. Your best bet is to get a C32 engine, not an ML320 engine.

Well aren't all the 3.2 litre engines that were produced that year all under the # 112?? well the mechanics here are really crazy... but the wierd part is that everythings works fine LOL!! and again i said that they used a lot of old parts of the engine. like the computer i think. the supercharger fit fine.... it runs ok.... i actually beat a friend of mine in a drag race (signal light to signal light) he has a 2007 335i...don't know how that happened... sooo i was thinking maybe you guys could recommend me to run some tests... cause whenever i go to the local MB center here....they just keep ripping money off me ...i could post a couple of pics btw if you're interested...oo 1 more thing when i was at the MB center they have this oil meter.. the manual one that they stick in the engine and then bring it out to check if the level is ok, so they tried sticking it in my engine, and everytime it wouldn't go in or it would go in too deep... and they couldn't measure it correctly. so they just put in 7 liters of oil...

Internals like the pistons and rods are lot weaker on the c320 and the head cams are not as aggressive and the valve springs are weaker. If your running the stock 14psi on a c320 block, you will eventually blow your engine.

Yea, unfortunately the internals wont last very long... So I would not be going after those Bimmers till you get the right engine. Baby that thing till its fixed.
