W203 C55 and SAAB 9-3 2.0T
^ Might be so but the w203 C55 with CLK front end- Timeless/Priceless. I just wish they would have done more with the exterior to set it apart from its lesser models. Much like what the w204 did with the C63....

AMG's used to be much more understated then they are now. Of course, they were also much more exclusive. I read on the private lounge that 25% of AMG sales World Wide are within the city limits of L.A.

IMO the new ones are too flashy. I'm more interested in engineering, then nasty plastic and chrome. Even my 203 is questionable, at best.

Then you'll love the new 2012 C63.... They are moving it back to understated, they way most have always love their AMG's.

You and I should dance, heh. But we're in the same family, so it'd be just for amusement. :p

Back in the day when I first joined this board. It was common knowledge among us tproduced this vehicle in limited numbers. If you guys don't know a E32 (W210) was also produced for countries that placed a large tax on high displacement vehicles.

I thought it was an E36, not E32.

The SL73 engine went on with life in the Pagani Zonda.
Yep and I wanted to mention those also.

Are you sure?? I think there may be an issue withe TCU as well. Many conversions have "stalled" because of the TCU?? Just ask the guys who put the E55 engine in their SRTs.....................

Has never,and Will Nevr when doing a 5.4L swap in a C43 . So we've been fortunate.
However I have heard that the swap in a SRT can be problematic which I believe is what u r saying.

Sorry if I misunderstood you initially.

Its not that quick compared to Jake's or Lenin's car.................(see Dragtimes)

But I am sure I can take a W202 C55 or Austins C43.............and if I can't, out comes the C55 Kleemann (but I don't internet race, so this spring, with the recent mods and new Jerry Tune, we'll see what we can do at Morrocco)

I mean why!!!!

If you insist the fastest one I know of is SpeedyBenz at Sacramento Raceway 13.2 sec at 109.5mph with a 60ft time of 2.4 sec high altitude horrible 60ft. I would still race ANY stck or stg 1 or 2 modded C32 in the mile. Makes no difference to me. And if I lost I still have something that NO C32 stck or modded will ever beat. And you could bring the C55 Kleeman at that!

PS I've done 13.2@ 107mph 98degrees 100% humidity MIR

I like that Talon, I have something rotary powered for ya
But you would have better traction than me for sure.
BTW my Mom still drives her 1990 AWD Black Cherry Talon to Home Depot regularly for her gardening. 45000 kms and counting

The only way you would loose to my C43 is if you forgot to put gas in your car.... C43 WILL NEVER beat a high 12 C32 AMG. Thats just crazy talk. It would be such a fun highway race though. As soon as my 5.4 goes in, ill come down and do some runs with you. Just for sport.

13.2 isn't bad at all for a w202 C55. I bet we could reduce some weight and get it down in the high 12's with the right track and tires. I have a video some where on a guy running a high 12 with one. Let me see if I can find it.

FYI, my run is somewhere on Youtube against a twin-snail Corvette in October I was on bald PS IIs and running 30 psi in fronts (no skinnys) so we'll see if she's got more.............

If Speedy ran his car on this side(English town,Atco,or MIR) it would definitely be a mid to high 12 sec car,no doubt. I forgot that MoneyOne's converted C43 with a N/A 5.4L like I have ran high 12's at MIR.

FYI, Dragtimes has one at 13.39 at 102?? (I threw the first one out since no timeslip) C43 conversion to 5.5

Back on topic now...Does anyone in the USA have a non-converted C55???

That was my car years ago with a totally different exh which was leaking everywhere and the engine check(MAF,O2,Vacuum Actuator for gas tank) light stayed on as well. Car has been improved and runs much harder now.

Wouldn't be surprised if there were a few non-forumers who owned one, letting it garage queen in an unused garage right about now...

Thought I heard 13.1 at 101?? Regardless, I haven't seen a 12 sec run in a conversion.

Comments says: The car has a 5.5 liter swap n/a, full 3in exhaust, moddified LSD. Running on Nitto NT555R dot slick
