For that $$, look at an 09 P30 C63 with an LSD. That car is all the SH** and few cars in its class, if any, will run with it. They're out there and you can get a CPO on that too. With the 12 C63 revision, you'll see prices dropping on the C63 faster than the clothes hitting the floor from a girl drinking tequila!! (with Drew in Mexico of course)

As was mentioned on the first page, most people lease 3-ers, not buy them. The re-sale value is extremely important, and foreseeable depreciation is a factor in determining lease rates. Get it wrong, and OEM can be out billions. BMW obviously knows the buyers well; the 3-series is one of the most leased vehicle in the US. OEM backed no-maintenance plans also help push re-sale values, making lease rates more lucrative. Hence, MSRP is less important then you might think. In America, its all about the monthly $$.
I'd never buy one, but I might lease one

Well another aspect to think about is, the US dollar isn't as strong as it use to be and the Euro is stronger then what BMW and Mercedes would like. They probably increase to dollar amounts to insure any losses from currency depreciation.
