Wheel Power Fest is happening on the same date. Most will probably just roll down to Huntington Beach for that event. I am going down there too. Let me know if you and Charlie want to roll together.

Is your brother's car a 6-speed or SMG? Mods? I'll try to make it too. If I do, a friend of mine will bring his Camero SS.

Got there at 4:15pm and tech cards were all sold out.
They only limit 500 tech cards per day.

AMGDood, let us know how many runs you get in for today and your times
Charlie and I will plan to be there before 3:00pm next time

Jesus, worst track day ever. I got one run in and I was there from 3:45 until 9pm.

13.714 at 104 mph. 60ft was 2.2

Its not bad, i just wish i had another chance to get my 60ft down more. There was enough grip at this track for people to get great launches.

We should do one day were we get a bunch of c32s to go down to Carlsbad or someplace where there arent over 500 cars running. That would be fun.

Nice meeting all you guys today too.

Hey AMGDood,
It was nice meeting with you and seeing your C32 at the track. Next time we should definely roll together to where we can do a couple of runs. Yesterday, I didn't notice your helmet. Did you have one with you? I know it's required for cars running under 14.0 sec.

Hey Peter & Charlie,
I went to the track at around 5:00 pm and noticed a mile long of cars trying to get into the entrance from the north and south side of Cherry Ave. I am sure there were over 1000 cars there. Anyway, my buddy (Camero SS) and I went to the road course instead. Luckly when we got there, there was no one on the track and the gate was open. So we put on our racing helmets and teared the up track and our tires. I did about 18 laps and my friend did about 10. We also did a couple of 1/4 mile runs with my G-Tech. It was so much fun. We were there for about 2 hours. Later, the sucurity came behind me when I was runing down the track full speed. He pulled us over and asked us to go down to the drag race because the road couse was not open to public. So, he lead us to the drag race and got us in for free. LUCK DAY!!! Anyway, I think next time we should get a couple of guys together and rent the track for a full day. This is my best day of racing, ever.

I did have my helmet with me but i told the guy i wasnt sure if i would break 14's so the 1st run i didnt use it and let my friend with a supra use it.

thats insane that you went on the roadcourse! Damn I wish I had known about that I would have sneaked on with you. Sounds like you had more fun than I had. How much is it to rent out the road course?

AMGDood,
Ouch, 5 hours and 1 run
Yeah, you can get your 60ft down some more with stock setup at this track. Here's my best time at Cali Speedway before i did the odps kit.
Timeslip

I wanna try going back on 5/31 but i'm worried that it'll be crowded again.

av2,
Find out how much it is to rent the 1/4 track
Maybe we can get a private event going on.
Invite folks from other forums to split the cost.
Just a thought...

Hey pc527:
What were you able to get your time down to w/ the odps?

Also, getting on the track sounds like a lot of fun, I'm in!
I am also going to try and get a couple runs in on the 31st if time permits. I want to do stock vs. K&N runs. Has anyone see any improvements by just changing filters?

Evan

peter, your times are great stock and w/ odps. It looks like th odps increased your trap speed a lot. Your stock trap speed is the same as mine at 104 mph but at the end of the 1/4 mile your .2 seconds ahead of me. I think if i got my 60ft down just the .1 or .2 seconds i would be running a mid 13 just like you did because your 330 ft and 1/8 mile times are both .1 and .2 seconds faster than mine. Damn i want to go back now.

Thanks AMGDood.
I really want to go back and get some more practice too.
What's really kicking my butt is the 60 ft' time.
I can't hook up well with my current wheels/tires setup.
The last timeslip i posted above with 13.31, i had to leave traction control on but i still spun the tires too much off the line.
If i can manage to get 1.8-1.9 60 ft', i can probably make it into the 12s.
