Where do you buy the space saver spare tire?
I need a new space saver tire for a C55, as the old one is cracked. Any ideas where to buy them, and how much they cost?

Dealer wants $622.00 for it.

Tirerack doesn't list 145/70 17 tires either.

I actually need just the tire. My steel rim is fine. Can I get just the tire somewhere?

Any alternatives that would fit into the trunk?

Is your sidewall inflating crooked?

I had the misfortune of getting a nail in my tire last week and the space saver tire inflated 'weird-ly.'

I'm also interested in getting another tire for my spare, so let me know what you find, maybe if we get it together we can get a deal or something.

Mine also inflates crooked and off to the side. Looks like it's gonna pop. If I ever need to really use it, I'm going to stand on it and see if I can force it to inflate straight. Regardless, I have a can of fix-a-flat in the car as well, so I have two methods of temporary fixes.

Best place to find a new spare is probably going to be from a wrecked car, ebay, craigslist, etc.

lol $622, really? I hope the stealerships don't wonder why people doesn't take them seriously anylonger.
