Needswings Custom Intake Manifolds
Has anyone looked at these, or used them yet? The flow rates are very impressive. Something like this might be required to maximize the custom high flow intakes people have made? Would try them out, but don't have the extra $$$ right now... ![crazy](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/crazy.gif)

Those are a quality product from a quality guy. Rob @ Needswings is one of the best in the biz, and those manis are proven HP makers.
If you can stand to lose the symmetrical look under the hood, go for 'em.

They don't fit in a C32 unfortunately or I would have them already....
Looks like these are the only ones they offer to fit a C32:

Is this due to clearance issues with the hood or rear firewall? They do offer ported OE manifolds, but also have a link to these custom ones on the page. Too bad they don't fit!

Rear Firewall, not enough room. Same with their intakes, not enough room up front. Only the SLK32 and the crossfire have that kinda room.

I am currently building a set of my 32. If it works out would there be a interest? As you all have seen before, I am a pretty kick *** fabricator..

Make sure the "fitment" issue are resolved before marketing the product. Code 3 had issues with their IC that caused sales to plummet until he got them resolved.
Two major areas I see, hood clearance and also firewall clearance with the intakes. Hood clearance is the lesser of the two.
For those with the std intake (OEM) or even the 55 splitter, there may be fitment issues.

I spoke to rob a while back for a while, and provide measurements for them. They do fit... your not just able to attach any type of intake/filters to the throttlebody... Best way to do it is, Purchase them, and have a machineshop mod them by cutting off the intake pipes and welding them with a oval and a bit smaller intake pipes.. It would work then..... Been there done that.. Not really worth that must trouble, the ported ones are the best bet for easy install and factory looking (Which im all about). Those will probley pick us up 22rwhp... Another crossfire member just did the port and thats what he got with the dyno on a srt6

modded intakes such as 55 splitter or my Code 3. Most, if not all of us, have some modded intakes that we like and add either sound and/or performance. A notched or oval rear may do the trick to allow fitment near the firewall. I'd take 22 rwhp all day long if possible and would pay good $$ for it as well

Wasnt there a link where someone on here just replaced the pipes that lead from the IC to the stock intake manis? IIRC, there were big gains out of that.

Don't reinvent the wheel with this one. Cut the tubing, weld some pipe on and call it a day. Make damn sure not to damage /ding/warp (heat) the bottom plate that fits on the sc. Decent sized boost leak and you can starve the engine and blow her. Seen it firsthand on a xfire.
The other thing w the needswings plenums and the 32 was the lack of space on the firewall. You can fit it, but then you lose the 55 splitter. Counter productive....
