So my suspension finally gave in. Been having a bad week. I told my friend/shop and told him to order me shocks (front and rear) he said hes gonna get me the Bilstein Yellow, im not sure if he is getting me the HD or Street. But i'll be using my stock springs. Anything I should look at? It should be a fine setup im assuming? since i dont think i'll be keeping this car for long.

Not to hijack the thread but I've always wondered how do you know when your suspension finally goes?

Bilstein Sports is what he's installing. Theyre one of the best ones out there. Your ride is going to be stiffer though if youre ok with that.
They go out when you press on the fenders above the wheel and it doesnt press back.

that's what I figured. I'm just afraid if it would have my rear wheels rub. I'm guessing not, since the ride is stiffer.Originally Posted by ronald7410

what do you mean by, they go out with you press on the fenders about the wheel and it doesnt go back? I drove around in my stock setup, with 48k miles on the car, NYC roads. (sucks)
Anyways, I figured they were out bc they are bumpy as hell now, adjusted the Tire pressure, same, and then that "pressure" sound of blown shock i heard when i go up and down my driveway curb. I doubt its any type of control arms/etc since they were replaced when the car had around 25k miles by the dealers.

Mine is having similar issues, but my shocks are fairly new. I think my problem is the strut bearing, I can turn the metal portion at the top of my strut tower with my hand and I can't tighten the bolt that holds it in place.

I've had blown shocks on my C320 back in the days and it sounded something similar to what I have now, and the ride all of a sudden got harsh and wobbly.Originally Posted by loudandheard

If your car is lowered and you didnt replace the shocks/struts at the time, theyd go out soon. Usually you can tell when your car seems like it's riding on water. Sort of a wavy motion.
car is not lowered all oem, but it feels like a town car, steering is there but wobbly too lol
