Well, on the dyno tuning day, it was $100, but then again, that was negotiated as many cars were running it that day. Just call Vlad.

Jerry, I know that Mikes car was one. (The Kleemann) Now, the other one , if I recall this was in 2009, had no appreciable gains. NOW, you and I've been friends a LONG time. Are we saying that the C55 will NOW gain from a tune and if so, what kind of gains are expected and anticipated. Other than removing any VMax, what parameters could possibly be changed or altered that will give the C55 more HP/TQ and maintain safe A/F R etc etc. Trust me, I want to be proven wrong here. You know I am your biggest fan (not in stature though). No one has been able to do any "appreciable" gains in a tune since the C55 came out 6 years ago. What has changed??

Mike, a qtr mile run would certainly help to give us some more data. BUT , you'd have to do back to back runs with some cool down and before and after tune to make it work.

Just so you're ready -- have you practiced putting your C55 in dyno mode yet?

yenno i read up on a thread a long time ago about how to do it (i heard it's quite fun too ) but i have since then forgot the sequence. the person doing the flash owns an e55 so he probably knows how, but would you post the thread on here if you find it?

This is what I do:

1) Make sure your center info display is in the Odometer display mode - if the center display was in any other mode, it didn't work
2) Insert key & turn to position 1
3) Immediately press odometer reset button 3 times fast
4) You will hear a beep & see the center display between the speedometer & tach change to display battery voltage
5) Use the up & down arrows on the left of the wheel to roll through the various modes, including VIN number, vehicle software versions & dyno mode
6) Once in this mode, it seems to stay until you shut off the key. If you accidentally change menu's using the far left "sheets of paper" buttons, just keep pressing them & you go right back into the dyno mode.
7) When in the "ESP Dyno Mode" screen, press the "+" button on the right side of the wheel to enter dyno mode, same as above.

yenno what? EVERY that's 100% of c55 owners that have done the flash and have given me their input on flashes said it worked. EVERY person without a c55 has said it didn't work. important questions though, you're both completely stock and running pump 91?

C55 AMG
well... as far as I recall... I had 91 in it.. bc thats what they sell down the street from me lol... but he could have had 93 in it... but gas isnt much of a bonus... uhmm he had K&N's... i did as well... only main difference... my ECU tune, cat and res delete... cat and res delete only gives a slight increase in HP... not even noticable... I also raced ADVANZ's c55 on I495 lol... he had much more done than me... though no supercharger... i kept right on him... so im thinking headers doesnt do as much as ppl believe... either that or my tune is that much better than his LOL... doubtful
