2. What other mods do you have? Was the other car modded??
3. Dyno or Drag ETs?
*** Video of race or did you get a jump on him??? ***
Butt dynos are nice, BUT I am looking for objective proof that the C55 tune makes a significant difference in the performance versus the cost of the tune.

Whoa nelly?? I have BOTH the C32 (it did work) and the C55 (it didnt work)!! Mike, what are you talking about. Get your facts straight.

Thanks Aussie, the voice of reason in the wilderness of misinformation!! ^^^
Again, I want to be proven wrong here!! SHOW me I am wrong about the C55 tune............I will be the first to BUY ONE!!!
I see above that the two cars were not similarly equipped with mods (Cat and Res delete and tune) . Butt dynos are nice, BUT show me the results!!

C55 AMG
yeah I agree... it requires hard evidence... which I do not posses LOL... the only reason I took the "risk" was because it was extremely cheap... the main differences is the throttle response... you can feel the increase in HP... but that could also be attributed to "wishful" thinking LOL

Well, My C32 was my First love!!! I just like the ability to modify the C32 (much easier than the C55). The C55 is better built, handles better, nicer interior and its better looking ( so much for step children huh?). It is also my belief that the stock C32 is still quicker than a stock C55. A tune and a pulley (Code 3 or Crank) and you're really ahead. Dragtimes STILL bears this out!! The C32 feels more lithe and is BETTER on fuel for sure, but the C55 sturdier and also heavier. I call my C32 "cat quick" and the C55 more like a hammer. Which do I prefer? Depends on the day.
If I were a young guy looking for a highly modifiable car and with limited funds, there's no question which car I'd gravitate to. Problem is, the C32 is getting old (last made for US in 2004) and many of the cars out there have high mileage. C55 is no better, last year 2006.
Whats the alternative? The C63 (2012) with MCT and P31 package. Probably the best performance value for the $$ out there (save a lightly optioned
Z06)

Seen and heard what? Check Dragtimes.com. Except for the C55 Kleemans and the Mikes MBH (HooleyBoy) car, the C32s are the fastest of the modded cars. Butt dynos dont count!!
Remember, this thread is about the C55 tune. Lets keep it on track!! I am awaiting the results!!

I really hope you do see some noticeable gains. When I got my VRP tune through Powerchip, they claimed 10whp for the tune. I hope you surpass that! Eurocharged FtW!!

C55 AMG
I am hardly waiting for the result also!!!
Really want to see one since I'm just about to do the flash tune.
Btw, the guy from HMS(westminster, CA) suggested me to do it
@ oetunning (Valley, CA)
http://oetuning.com/index.php/merced...mg-5-5-v8.html
Here is the expected result as described on the webpage
Make Mercedes Benz Model C55 AMG 5.5 V8 Series W203 Year 2004 Stock Peak HP 362 Tuned Peak HP 387 Stock Peak Torque 376 Tuned Peak Torque 402 Modification Type OBD2 Flash
I don't know how much it would be when i actually call and ask but
the price listed on the web is $795
I'm not sure where to do this and how much is the reasonable price???
any suggestion???
