Btw, the guy from HMS(westminster, CA) suggested me to do it

@ oetunning (Valley, CA)

http://oetuning.com/index.php/merced...mg-5-5-v8.html

Here is the expected result as described on the webpage

Make Mercedes Benz Model C55 AMG 5.5 V8 Series W203 Year 2004 Stock Peak HP 362 Tuned Peak HP 387 Stock Peak Torque 376 Tuned Peak Torque 402 Modification Type OBD2 Flash
I don't know how much it would be when i actually call and ask but

the price listed on the web is $795

I'm not sure where to do this and how much is the reasonable price???

any suggestion???
Yes,i do have a suggestion.talk to people that have done it and see if they have dyno results.i would wait until next week to see my results, that'll tell you alot right there since average gains claimed for our cars were 20rwhp. You could do it for alot less than that price too. Just chill for a week

If I remember, this is Jeremy at OE Tuning??

Here's from his site with NO dyno??
Make Mercedes Benz
Model C55 AMG 5.5 V8
Series W203
Year 2004
Stock Peak HP 362
Tuned Peak HP 387

Stock Peak Torque 376
Tuned Peak Torque 402
Modification Type OBD2 Flash

I do remember calling him and speaking about this very tune last fall 2010. Anyway, the ONLY parameters that I can think of that he could do is 1. Remove speed limiter on the C55 2. Remove/Alter Torque Limiter 3. Lean it OUT a bit and advance (more) timing. How much this gives, I don't know?? I'd still love to see a dyno!! His stats are claiming 25 net RWHP (assuming no other mods??) . Without a dyno, I patiently wait!!

Mike, once again, be sure that there are no changes to your car now and when getting the tune, other than the tune itself. NOTHING!! Since its probably an OBD flash, that's fairly simple and should take no longer than a few minutes. OR are you doing a remote with cable??

Note that OE site says the car (C55) is a 2004???

Probably what you run on the street, he's going to tie er down anyway. Some guys go lower for more traction but then get lower results?? Just make sure he doesnt change ANYTHING (PSI, Fuel, Tie downs etc) during the runs..........IN fact, make sure SAME operator is running the car during the dyno mode test.

Can you imagine if this got cancelled? Might be worse than the C55 vs 335 thread.

On the other hand, 20 whp over stock with just a tune on C55 sounds plentiful. I hope you will be able to achieve that number!

the reason why i'm doing the tune with the dyno is so that i could figure out exactly what power difference it will make. i'm not saying it'll make 20 to the wheels, i'm saying what average claim is. my car is perfect for this and if you read what i said in the beginning, i am taking the opportunity to be the test rat because of the amazing deal i got and many other factors. for everyone else, i'll film the runs and post youtube videos the same day. i really want this done right as newz keeps on reiterating.

haha it's all good man i didn't think you offended me yea, i'm really starting to comprehend what's on the line here. alot of people are watching this. it'd be cool if there is a respectable gap in performance, but it'd really suck if nothing happened, i feel like alot of people would start hating on the company which i do NOT want happening.

I did the same thing with k&n filters. I made a dyno run without them and then quickly replaced brand new filters with brand new k&n's. I believe I got 4whp increase with the k&n's but my results were inconclusive because I lost that 4whp on the third run. I also needed the car to adjust to the k&n's for valid results

Mike, I don't think so. Mine looks the same and I am original owner with only 22K miles on my C55. There is another section off to the left (not in your picture) which looks identical to the circular opening on the right with the bolt through it. Not sure what is going on with the one in the middle that is open. Perhaps the part is used on a different model AMG where that opening is used for something? Odd.

The stock c55 tune is already pretty lean. 14.7:1 a/f until 4000 rpm, then slowly richens to 13.2:1 at redline. Not much room to lean out anymore at least with pump gas.

timing has very little if any room for advance. Any tune that makes power will need better gas. We only have 91 here in California (unless you want to spring for hard to find 100 octane race gas).

Unless its "tuned" for it, wont make a difference.......Also, its a real PIA to be hunting around for Cam 2 100 Octane at about $8-12 a gallon as well just to blow it out the tailpipe........

Not a threadjack at all, I'd love to see the results on this OE Tuning/ Jeremy!! Someone in SoCal or the surrounding areas really needs to jump on this and get us some numbers. Video preferred as well.
