anyone try HANKOOK V12 evo K110 tires?
Any comments on tread life?

Besides the US their biggest market is Germany I am told.

Decided to try out a set of Kumho Ecsta LE Sport XL because they were the around the same price but were giving away a $100 prepaid VISA card.

Good to know. I went with Dunlop wintersport 3ds and they have been great for the winter. Might try some Hankooks next winter.
At the time, I paid $114 for each front and $153 for each back tire.
Dry handling was good, not a lot of slippage that I could tell. Wet handling, well its a summer tire, so it wasn't the best but it felt safe to drive daily in wet conditions, but I was careful not to push it hard in the rain just in case. I still drove it on the highway to work during rainy days, just kept the hard cornering to a minimum in those conditions.
I even tried them out a few times in the slush/light snow just to see what happened. No surprise that it was slippery, but I could get around slightly if it was very light slush and no ice. But really, you shouldn't be using these in the winter anyways.
If you check out tireracks reviews they are rated quite well in wet handling, one of the better in the summer performance class which is why I bought them. I would have probably bought them again, even with the tire splitting issue, had it not been for another comparable tire that I wanted to try in the KUMHO that had the $100 prepaid Visa (for my upcoming honeymoon), and I needed tires ASAP and the Hankooks had another 3-5 days wait on them that I couldn't afford to wait on.
I would recommend them for the price for a fairly good daily driver. Never took it on a track so I can't comment on their ability there.

Here is Car and Driver's review last year I believe:

That's what I used to help make my decision last time.
I did not heed their warning and installed them anyway, lo and behold my cruise control did not work on speeds aboce 40 MPH.
Now that the tires are nicely worn, the cruise control works fine again. I've been driving with it for 8K miles and only noticed slight wear and I drive rather hard.
Dry performance is decent and better than my old F1-GS D3. Wet performance is okay and I haven't slipped when driving normally in heavy rain.
I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

On the track, they're good until they're very hot. The fronts on mine, 235x18 got greasy around the tight bends after about 15 minutes of heavy cornering (I was on a large outdoor gokart track...basically a very big autocross track).

They aren't the best track tire, but they're great value for the money.

With my cooling mods, I can run consistently in the high 12s.
