That's what I'm running, I love them. Best bang for the buck tires.
I go thru tires like every 5-6K, so I cannot afford to drop a lot of money on tires all the time.

Yep, I have hankook's as well. I'm very happy with them. I do not track my C55 nor do I drive in the wet. For dry pavement they feel comparable to the stock pirelli's - at half the price. I've had them on for a little over a year and got 5,000 miles on them. Tread looks very good so far. I expect much better tread life than the pirelli's.

I'm using them too. Put them on last spring and they were as good as any other tire in daily driving. I replaced them with the Dunlop Winter SPs in November but will be reinstalling them soon. Good value!

CLS, SLK, ETC
Just ordered a rear set for my slk.. I'm a big fan of ther S1EVO but seems like they don't make it anymore..
V12 is probably the best tire for $ at the moment..
Decent traction, noise is minimal, and web handling is pretty darn good as well.

Do you personally use them on your CL55?
What do you believe the expected mileage is for these tires on our cars?
The stock Pirelli's on the rear of my car were totally shot at 11,000 miles. Second set of rears were on their way out at 6,000 more miles (that's when the fronts died - 17,000 - with steel belts coming through in the inside front edges). Sick of paying $250-$300 per tire and having them last only 10,000 miles. So I switched to the Hankook's - which were half the price. If they only last as long as the stock Pirell's it will have been a smart move. I'm hoping for longer life though - thus the reason for the question.

Good thread - I have been looking at these as well.
So far have been very loyal to the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 but they are expensive, getting harder to find and don't last.
Question on the Hankooks: do they have any rim protection? Love that feature of the Goodyears.

dan... thanx for the REBATE info, the price is right,,,,,, gamma benz, i too get 6-10k out of a set of tires that have been much more $ than these, ie. falken 615, s03, s02, star specs, gs d3, dun sport maxx etc. if these perform well and i get 6-10k miles than i dont feel so guilty buying $400 worth of tires every 6 months. good to hear all the positive feedback.

glasgo, i will never buy another Goodlaugh tire after my experience with 4 gsd3 that i purchased a while back, 3 of the 4 were out of round, a common prob w this tire, they could NOT be balanced and were very shaky cause road force test was so bad, kudos to tire rack who replaced them promptly. where nice tires once i could find round ones but a pita to do this. FYI

I've got 130,000+ miles so I've tried a few sets of tires. I thought I was getting a good deal with the V12s, but sadly they are not good on a C55.
my issues.
traction: The rears spin with half throttle from a dead stop. the fronts slip on aggressive turns, and/or trying to get onto the freeway using a cloverleaf on-ramp. These must be taken at slow speed. The grip is just not good.
Also, I wasn't ablt to get 10,000 miles use out of these tires. The rears were gone much faster than the fronts.
My original BFG Gforce sports lasted over 50K miles on the front and 30K on the back. they are a bit wider than other tire brands so don't go wider than 265 on the rear or they will rub.
I now have a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE050 and they have very good grip as well. treadlife was going good (20K+) until my local tire shop filled them up to 40 psi when I was having them rotated. that wore the rears noticeably in a few thousand miles. I've since dropped them down to my normal 28 psi and the seem to be holding well.
hope this helps!
I've heard good things about General times as well.

Everyones driving style is different so it's hard to say what the expected mileage for each individual person is. However, the average mileage I've seen people get from these tires is anywhere from 15-30 thousand miles.

costco, walmart, discount tiure, and other tire places around here have road hazzard as well. $0 charge. I love the warranty, I picked up a huge spike in my tire once and got it replaced for free - and the tread was nearly gone.

I love the V12's. I usually switch my wheels/tires every 6 months anyways because of the season change so don't have to worry too much about wear. Also only put about 5k miles a year.

I have them on 2 of my cars they do better on lower HP cars than the typical 400HP that most of you are putting out. I also sell these tires every day atleast 30 sets daily and have never had any complaints on lower HP cars.
