anyone try HANKOOK V12 evo K110 tires?
I go thru tires like every 5-6K, so I cannot afford to drop a lot of money on tires all the time.
V12 is probably the best tire for $ at the moment..
Decent traction, noise is minimal, and web handling is pretty darn good as well.

What do you believe the expected mileage is for these tires on our cars?
The stock Pirelli's on the rear of my car were totally shot at 11,000 miles. Second set of rears were on their way out at 6,000 more miles (that's when the fronts died - 17,000 - with steel belts coming through in the inside front edges). Sick of paying $250-$300 per tire and having them last only 10,000 miles. So I switched to the Hankook's - which were half the price. If they only last as long as the stock Pirell's it will have been a smart move. I'm hoping for longer life though - thus the reason for the question.

So far have been very loyal to the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 but they are expensive, getting harder to find and don't last.
Question on the Hankooks: do they have any rim protection? Love that feature of the Goodyears.
my issues.
traction: The rears spin with half throttle from a dead stop. the fronts slip on aggressive turns, and/or trying to get onto the freeway using a cloverleaf on-ramp. These must be taken at slow speed. The grip is just not good.
Also, I wasn't ablt to get 10,000 miles use out of these tires. The rears were gone much faster than the fronts.
My original BFG Gforce sports lasted over 50K miles on the front and 30K on the back. they are a bit wider than other tire brands so don't go wider than 265 on the rear or they will rub.
I now have a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE050 and they have very good grip as well. treadlife was going good (20K+) until my local tire shop filled them up to 40 psi when I was having them rotated. that wore the rears noticeably in a few thousand miles. I've since dropped them down to my normal 28 psi and the seem to be holding well.
hope this helps!
I've heard good things about General times as well.

Everyones driving style is different so it's hard to say what the expected mileage for each individual person is. However, the average mileage I've seen people get from these tires is anywhere from 15-30 thousand miles.
