Alarm system

im sorry if this was posted before i did a search but i couldnt really find what i was looking for. I understand that the siren doesnt chirp because of the netherland setting, but when i lock the car and open the door through the window the lights flash but i am still able to start the car...is the smartkey turning off the alarm? is the horn shot or is the alarm module toast? do i even have an alarm system? where is the alarm module maybe it is unplugged? I will check the horn tomorrow when i get some time to take the wheel off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.....also panic does not work

This has been my problem for a long time. I had the alarm siren replaced twice and then I replaced it myself with the latest model. For some reason when I installed it, I still didn't get my siren to come one.

When my alarm siren kind of worked, the alarm would go off by itself and the lights would flash to the point that it would drain my battery. Now I don't have that problem, but the siren doesn't even come on.

more than likely the battery in your alarm horn is dead. You need to replace the siren. Your alarm siren, I believe is under the splash shield where your windshield wipers are.

I know my alarm works but it's so quite it's not even worth it. I swear it's almost funny how quite it is.

But it does indeed sound like your Alarm may need replaced.

That's where mine was. I had to take off the passenger side front wheel and then you should be able to remove a section of the fender lining to get access to the horn. If I remember correctly, it required the use of a security torx socket, but I can't recall what size.
