C55 ESP malfunction help!!!

So I was driving on the L.I.E. and I got a flat, I have run flats so I continued and drove home, when I arrived home I smelt alittle burning rubber, no big deal, the tire has to be replaced anyways, but then my ESP malfunction visit workshop message popped on screen. I'm wondering if the sensor failed or if it's something else.
I'm getting the tire changed and going to try to see if it's still functioning or not.

It's the back right tire that got messed up.

It could think there is a problem with that speed sensor because that tire was reading a different speed from the other 3 while it was flat. Drive the car a bit after the tire is replaced and the light should turn itself off (at least it does on GMs).

+1 To both their comments. The sensor is reading that something is wrong with that tire (and indeed there is) Once the tire has been replaced, the error should disappear.

Perfect timing! I've been getting this message for the last week.....ever since I did a little high speed test run.

It's gone every time I restart the car, but will come back after a bit of driving. It doesn't seem to have any effect....ESP can still be switched on and off.

What's the deal here? Thinking about disconnecting the battery.....

I actually had the ESP light come on in my car when I was under warranty and it ended up being the brake pedal position sensor. The light wouldnt come on every time I drove the car either.
