Need Tire Recommendation: 05 C55
Looking for a good tire for my 05 C55 on stock wheels. Mostly highway driving, commuting, etc. Need decent performance in wet Seattle weather as well. I've been looking at Continental ExtremeContact DW's. Anyone have suggestions?

I run Hankook's and am happy with those as well. However, I never drive the car is the wet so I can't comment on that aspect of handling. They are hard to beat for the price though.

+2 on the Conti DWS tires. Have them on the Merc and the wife's Audi and am very happy with both. Excellent wet weather handling, not that that's a problem in sunny AZ.
with the stock C55 rims you need to go to a 255/35-18 on the rear. No problems with fit.

while i never had these on my c55 i just put a set on my other car. great tire and at a great price.
i ran falken fk452's on my c55 before i got rid of it. at the time they were by far the best tires i've ever run. and i've gone through about 10 sets of tires in the past 5 years. (not all on the same vehicle)

Thanks everyone for the feedback. After doing some additional research, the Conti DW's seem to be the wonder tire. The Bimmer guys love them, and so do some of the Porsche guys.
Original equipment is specifying 245/35-R18's but I cannot find that rear size, and will have to go with 255's.

I've been looking looking for tires as well. I have a S55 and have Yokohama S. Drives on there now, and need new rears. I was looking at the Hankook V12's as well. My buddy has Conti ExtremeContact DW and likes them, but he's in the market for new rubber as well.

Pirellis come stock on many of our cars and we advise every customer to go with any Conti or Michelin over Pirelli they are garbage. Just watch a formula one race and listen to how much they talk about the tires wearing like poo. And yes the Extreme Contact DWS is a great success! Cheap plenty of grip and quiet what more could you ask for?

I'm very happy with it and I prolly buy another set from them as well.
Can't beat the value + performance you get from them
