I've got 265 in the rear on my C32 using a 35 offset wheel and no rubbing at all.

The offset of the stock C55 AMG rear 8.5" x 18" rim is 34.
The offset of the stock C55 AMG front 7.5" x 18" rim is 30.

Chris I'm assuming that's a 9.5? Ever tried going to 275? I'm gonna be running that exact setup and want to be going up in tire size and am trying to see if 275 is possible.

265 is fine, you might as well invest in better quality rubber than going to 275.

i have a friend running 275 without rubbing problems, but in terms of grip nothing different.
I changed from Hanhook to Yok AD08 and its much better still on 265

275 will require inner fender trimming and rolling. there is only a 2/10 difference in width. Does it matter to me? Yes, there still is not enough tire in the rear to allow full power out of low speed corners.

Good luck on that, you can't even do that with a Corvette with 305s in the back.
