What do you guys think?
If I wanted to buy an 05 C55 with 70k miles, would I be called crazy? I believe these are one of the strongest built MB's. The owner can show maintenance records from mile 0-70k. Very interested in switching out of my S430 to a C55.......after all im a 21 year old college kid, C55 has my name on it

Not sure why you'd think that'd be crazy. If the deal is good and you've got the cash. Take it.
It's really a matter of, do you want the comfy smooth ride your S class gives you or do you want some get up and go the C55 will give you.

Im definitely ready for a fun car. I am well educated on the AMG's but have no first hand experience. I was making sure that 70k miles for $17,500 was a decent deal?

I don't know the KBB off hand so I can't say either way to be honest. Start there first. But keep in mind the economy sucks. A lot of people are trying to sell their cars. Use to that to your advantage.

I was actually going to say 16k. Apparently theres a little crack in the front spoiler. Might as well bargain. I hope this goes through well, I need to sell my S class first!

Doesn't sound crazy to me, but maybe I have a biased opinion lol...if the price is right I doubt you will regret it!

The only thing holding me back from this is selling my S430! I can sell it for 10k to a dealer but....... Im gettin ripped off real bad. Worst case scenario I pull out more money to cover the low sell price on the S. Do you guys suggest a good buy back dealer?

Well I was saying that because I need to find a buyer... Id let it go for a good price but the dealers would really screw you over if you just took it there only to sell a car to them. I have guaranteed offers of $10k but I was shooting for a bit more..

Just exercise a little more patience and wait for some excellent deals in Cars.com or Autotrader. I got mine in very excellent condition with Nav and Bix, 60K miles, for only 15K.

Buy it dude the c55 is a really great machine. ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Btw it's amazing & I am jalous on how cheap you can get a C55 for in the US. I think I will import a C55 from the US for my next project, it will be much cheaper! Thanks also to the USD / CHF exchange rate but not only! Just to compare a C55 with 60 000 miles costs ~ 47 000 USD in Switzerland!
Anyway, If you are looking for a great handling and fast ride you can't go wrong. Back to driving mine

This C55 will be a daily driver and from what I hear highway mileage is pretty damn good. Im very excited at the very possible possibility of me having a C55
