I dont think your stock C32 can beat a brand new stock M3
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Unless your wife has a ML55/63 or a Cayenne Turbo, I doubt it!!! The C32 is very modifiable and with a SC pulley and a tune and some cooling mods (Johnson and HE) , it"ll be close to that ole M3.
You sure you're not trolling here bud. Do a search and there's thousands of threads on the mods to the C32....... You can easily make it a mid 12 second car with the right mods. If you love the E46 so much, why didn't you just keep it and smoke our old C32s/55s??

I actually stopped the car mods and modified my bikes. Not to go off the topic but I fixed my need for speed on my bikes. I wish I had a car as quick as my sport bike.....if I did, I couldn't afford it.
In general the BMWs have handled better and are more of a drivers car - the driver feels more connected to the car.
The MB/AMG on the other hand tends to be faster in a straight line and hold up much better.
The BMWs I have owned do not wear well and at least interior wise look much older than they truly are.
If you think the throttle/transmission programming is poor in a Mercedes it is worse in a BMW (at least in my experience).
It is also worth remembering that BMWs seem to have more serious issues than MBs - think I6 M3 engine problems, 335 cooling and fuel pump issues, etc.
after that tuning a c32 is limited. your choices are eurocharged, inmotion, kleeman, renntech, buckhead imports, or speedriven, or oetuning. each tuner has their own following and fans alike. mods will be intake (limited choices) pulley exhaust tune.i will tell you i know very little about the m series bmw . what i do know is that each m i have raced looks very nice in my rear view mirror! the fastest 5 series i have seen had a ls1 motor in it.
