and yet again the xfire guys push the envelope even father! add latemodel21's paddle shifter kit and you know have a trans setup worthy of the mighty amg engine!

thats if you used the raid wireless paddles. latemodel21's hard wired paddle setup will be much cheaper. the speed shift is a flash setup so it shouldnt run to much i think maybe a couple hundred

i have jerrys tune and it does help but this is tcu specific. it also allows the standard summer mode to be used when comfort is the main goal , say daily driving. hit the track ,switch to manual and you now have a faster shifting car. add it to a roadcourse and no more nasty upshift in the middle of a corner. add the newest paddle shifter mod and you will have a setup to be reckoned with!

I would be worried that this is a limitation of hardware and not software. I'm sure the people at AMG could figure out how to program a TCU to shift faster. There must be a reason why there is such a delay between shifts. It's usually to take the stress off torquing the engine, mounts and transmission. I'm happy with the current eurocharged remap. Unless you're trying to get the best time at a 1/4 mile track, I don't think it's necessary. I do plenty of lapping days and I've never been concerned about shift times. However, being able to lock gears in would be nice!

If the transmission shifts in the corner is simply means you are not pushing the car. There is a G sensor that is supposed to prevent shifting during cornering. I have never had the far shift unexpectedly at the track.

I've never had my car change gears mid corner at even moderate speeds, even on the street. If your car is changing gear mid corner, you're either not cornering properly (if you think you're cornering hard but you aren't) or there's something wrong with the G sensor. On my car it will hold RPM's till redline while in a corner. On the track, I mostly keep it in 3rd gear. I wish there was a proper sport mode for our cars, because the transmission seems to love to use higher gears. My only complaint is that when I ease off the throttle before a corner, the transmission will upshift. Coming out of a corner, I'm always in the wrong gear. I have to hit the kickdown to get the car to downshift to pull me out of the corner. This usually results in some tail kicking action. Not ideal for track driving. Locking gears would be the solution.
