Received my TCU and connected it this morning. Wow!!! Nice. Works the way others have described it. Love the "manual" mode. It doubles the fun factor for this car. As always, super service by the EC team. Thank you.

Here's a quick summary of what I've experienced so far with the TCU Flash.
4. Aside from downshifting into first gear at a stop I don't think the car will do anything without your direct input when in Manual mode. I've not had it change a gear on me at any speed unless I told it to do so. That means, if you are going 100 mph in 3rd and downshift on accident (or purpose) you will f@ck up your engine and most likely the transmission.

This does not sound good. With a manual transmission the gear changes are deliberate and it would be impossible for a passenger to bump a manual trans lever and have it go into a lower gear. A passenger could easily bump the C32 shifter down a gear and you are saying this would downshift and over-rev the engine. I would hope the software will not allow this.

One of the guys on Crossfireforum designed a wiring setup to add paddle shifters to the steering wheel.
Mine should be installed on my SRT6 in the next week or two depending on my schedule.
Word is that they are indeed a lot of fun and make for additional fun with the TCU tune.

Not sure how much different the wiring is between the C32 and the SLK32, but I would be willing to bet it is possible for the C32 as well.

i can guarantee that he would not be the only car interested as there is many many more M113 500 engines running around than 32 and 55's. i would let EC speak for what their plans are for the future. i would be interested for sure.

Hey Guys..
just to clarify....
we still have safeguards in place on the software in case you mis-shift/downshift etc. It won't just go all nascar and blow your engine!

Well they offered it before on the ECU tunes, and I opted out because I thought that couldn't be good for the engine. However, being its only 300rpm more I don't see why the engine wouldn't be able to handle it. I mean it can't be any worse than all the other stuff I have done that is making the engine work twice as hard. I decided to go for it this time, 6500rpm TCU tune and I sent my ECU to get a tune to match.

Being that mine is stock, I might just stay at the 6200 max rev limiter.
I don't see how much harder it could pull anyways. Maybe if and when I get my ECU tune, I will go for the 6500.

Jerry actually called me today when he was about to take care of my tunes and recommended a 6600rpm redline which would be more beneficial because of my intake...so I said go ahead with it and 6600 it is. I guess you can go up to 6900 but I don't know about that for me haha
