Yeah I see it with all shifts...I've had mine for a couple weeks now so the TCU should have adapted by now. The car is bouncing off the revlimiter before shifting, it's not like it's losing traction either. Something must be wrong, I am contemplating going back to stock TCU

It happens to me aswell when the car is warm. I wouldn't be driving aggresivly with a cold car. I'm going to try shifting again at like WOT and see what happens. It really doesn't feel like it should be there. Even one of my friends questioned what that was

if your hitting like a pause or something sounds like a torque limitor...
thats usually what that is...

is this happening 2 u all after warm up
I have the TCU tune, but I haven't had a chance to go WOT (I live in Traffic all Day LA). I'm kind of hesitant to do it since everyone is reporting problems (subscribed to this thread now). My car is Kleemann Supercharged with a Kleemann ECU Tune, so I might have different results. I will report my findings on this thread.Originally Posted by buffyclk500

who's your tuner and would he care to expand on this? i now have the v2 version form jerry but havent been able to install it and run it as i have intake parts at needswings for thermalcoating. from what jerry told me he found a file that needed adjustment to 6800 rpm and raised all the torque limiters to max. hopefully i can get the car out next week and datalogg the resultsOriginally Posted by splinter

Eurocharged.
Tuning the tcu to rev higher sounds unsafe. Do you recomend to strengthen the head before changing the rpm redline? Because I've had first hand experiance from over reving and blowing a head gasket and warping the head. What do you recomend?

And I'm not running this 6800 RPM version on my car so I'm going to assume there is a second version.
Cdirtytwo, have you made your decision to go back to stock or are you keeping it?
Also, I have a question for Eurocharged. If the rev limiter were to be at the stock RPM, would there be this spike in AFR as described above? The best I can describe it is basically the feeling you get from the car when you hit a speed limiter. The car just stops pulling, then shifts. I haven't revved that high since this happend just in case it's not safe...

nope tuners have been doing it for years...and you have first hand experience of a blown engine due to lack of proper fuel delivery as evident in the other thread.Originally Posted by ROGUE.AMG

sounds like you are hitting a torque limitor....I used to hit that in my c32 when making all the power...Originally Posted by AMG3.2

Is there a way around this? Or is it just part of the tune?

Simply stating the fact my experiences and results have differed from those of other participants in this tuning thread.
Good luck with your car and its modifications.
Disclosure: I have LET/Eurocharged hardware on my C.

Hey splinter, just to confirm. You do have an EC TCU tune but the ECU tune is from someone else?Originally Posted by splinter

What kind of performance increase are you seeing from this? What kind of increase in quarter mile times are we talking? This sounds great!
Wish you had some kind of special... I'd make the drive down to Chicago ASAP!

AFAIK, The car comes OEM with the torque limiter and Eurocharged can get rid of it as part of their tune.Originally Posted by AMG3.2

Gramma, I think I still have torque limiters from what I am understanding from Jake. Eurocharged just raised them. When I do a pull in WOT, I hit the limiter and then it shifts gears. I'm thinking if I have an ECU tune it might fix this?Originally Posted by Gramma_Benz

haha. Actually, neither its current ECU nor TCU/EGS tunes are from EC. They’ve been hacked by another vendor (at MSRP).Originally Posted by Lenin

Almost certain you’ll understand it’s only appropriate I recuse myself from further participation in this thread.
