i don't even know why people want a big *** 2 ton sedan with manual. M5 with all the gadget FTW!

manual I'd go with 1M or M3.

I don't know why E55s are held in such high regards to the C55. If I wanted something that big I'd want all the bells and whistles too.

First we start with this...

I did not want to post this on the E55 section as they may just be a tad biased.

I lost interest in the CTS-V after seeing these 2012 snail driven motors. I'm not interested in another SC'd car and mounting an aftermarket SC on a 63 is too much of a hassle after all I went through with my C55 aside from the warranty and reliability issue. A used 65TT is nice but less efficient, outdated styling, high maintenace and maybe no warranty.
And then, a little over 1 day later, in a different thread...

Honestly, AMGSC, I don't see how anyone can put much weight into anything you post. All we can expect to know is, it was how you felt during the minute or two you posted it to the forum. Your opinion could be (typically is?) 180 degrees different within hours.

I'm sure the F10 M5 is a fantastic and amazing car, but honestly it just looks a little bland to me in and out. The E60 M5 just has so much mean-ness to it all around.

I started this thread BEFORE I spoke to Richard when I picked up my car about my next project and he convinced me that going with a Weistec on an 08 would yield more power and not be risky or unreliable.

Of course, we ALL don't know just how easy it is to modify the 2012 63TTs or an M5TT yet until the cars are available and folks have tried modifying them.

Yes, I realize when you started the threads in relation to one another.

My point is, one day you will post (paraphrasing) "I don't want another S/C'd N/A car, and while the 65s are nice, they're less efficient, outdated styling/tech, no warranty." Now, presumably, you put some thought into this, and came up with those conclusions.

The next day, you'll post "I don't want a 2012 E63TT or M5TT anymore, because of how nice my C55 turned out - I'll go with an '08 S65 or '08 CLS63 and slap a supercharger on it instead."

Okay... so one day later, "less efficient, outdated styling, no warranty, etc" is no longer a concern (because none of those could have changed, when you're talking about a 4 year old S or CLS model), and you've completely flip-flopped on how you felt a day ago.

You've been doing these "who should I pick, what should I do" threads for years, and it's always the same - I guess I shouldn't be surprised, nor bothered... my apologies; I'll bow out.

That's why I solicit opinions here. I guess I should be a little less commital when making my comments but to be honest, I'm still debating to myself whether the newere turbos are still the way to go. As for a used 65 bi-turbo, the styling may be updated with body kits (about $10-15K), an extended warranty may cost another $3-5K and the and wear and tear repair costs not covered by warranty can be quite expensive.

You make some very valid points about me not addressing ALL of the original issues with buying used and modifying.
