After a long consideration, I went with 19inch bbs LM for my C55
I wanted to get a concaved style wheels but I just loved the looks of LM..

I'll probably get concaved wheels for my slk55..

Looks fantastic! Can NEVER go wrong with LM's!
Just my humble 2 cents, but I think a drop would make it perfect.

slick shoes....are you crazy??!
Thanks guys..
I bought the rims from a wholesaler in Japan. I'm going to lower it soon + Cf parts
I think coilover would be overkill..So I may go with H&R lowering springs.

Nice! I don't think you could go wrong with BBS LM on any vehicle. The good thing is if you get bored you should be able to put those on the SLK also..

From what I've seen the LMs and Monolites are hard to come by. I was in the right place at the right time. Coincidentally, I'm also looking into getting some lowering springs. I think Renntech though since I'm just looking for about 1'' and no more. What kind/size of rubber are you running?Originally Posted by Quicktwinturbo

are you on stock suspension at the moment? Reason I'm asking is that I'm currently in the process of getting new wheels, so I just wanted to know if that picture is 19" on completely stock C55.

The Renntech springs are about $500. Apparently, they'll work fine with the stock shocks also..Originally Posted by Quicktwinturbo

Wawy,
Lowering springs for 500? Ouch... Who makes them though? For $500, it may be better to go with coilover kit? (NM, i just checked the price of coilover.. $1500+)
Not exactly sure who the source vendor is...
Oh those pics are just teasers! Post some more, car looks made decent!
I love the fact that you have a C55 AMG and an SLK55 AMG. To me, this is a perfect combo -- a practical powerful sedan and a sporty powerful two seater. What more could a guy want
my favorite shoes too...
H&R coilover for c32 is listed at $1076 on allsprings dot com.
edit: btw, while browsing around looking for Carlsson decals I came across a set of Carlsson lowering springs that is currently up on ebay. check them out if anyone is looking to lower their car by springs. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2002-...item53e88494e1
