Question about Eurocharged Tune
Anyone, who is a daily driver (meaning 50+ highway miles a day), drives the speed limit to and from location and does not light up the tires at every stop light, feel free to respond. As a lawyer, I get paid for my time whether I'm sitting in the courtroom or sitting in my car on the way to and/or from court, so I am never in a rush to get from place to place unless, of course, I am running late - then all bets are off. But otherwise, I stick to the speed limit and the right hand lane. I was wondering what impact, if any, a tune from Eurocharged or any other tuner out there for that matter, has on your mpg's? I am always looking to get better gas mileage when on the clock. The best I've done is about 29 mpg doing about 55-60 for about 50 miles while drafting one of those huge especially tall tractor trailers that they use to ship high end rides like ferraris etc. Of course, drafting is illegal and dangerous but I'll be damned if it isn't the best way to get amazing gas mileage. It's also a great way to cause an accident or get your wind shield cracked. Anyway, I digress - what effect does a tune have on gas mileage under normal driving conditions, good, bad, indifferent?

+1, if I stay between 60-65 on CC, I can swing 25-27. 25 is not really that hard if you keep your foot out of it. I also seem to get better in colder weather, despite the oxygenated fuel they start using up north. I also check my tires about once a week.

Yeah, if you feather the pedal to maintain speed you'll do much better. In fact, I find that when I take my shoe off, I can really use the throttle sparingly to maintain speed. Other than Chris B's post, there's been no input on a tune and mpg under normal driving hwy conditions.
Chris, how are did u travel to pull those numbers. Also, how far from original destination to why; ie, how many start and stops approximately before reaching the hwy. I found, that even if you travel 50 miles on the highway, at 55, if you hit 5 lights instead of one or two it drastically affects the computer's calculation of mpgs.
I bet the only good way to get a true mpg is the old fashioned way. The computer makes a lot of assumptions based on driving style. For example, the how drastically the "range" changes when you get down to a 1/4 tank.
Please , more feedback regarding a tune and mpg under non-aggressive conditions.
Thnx

C55 + M3
The weird thing is I get a steady 25-26mpg highway in my C55 if I behave.
The most I managed was average of 27.3mpg for a distance 43 miles at an average of 61mph.
I'd let off a little while climbing and give barely a little on descent. Music on blast, A/C on auto-72, roof top popped. Not bad for a 5.4L huh?
