exactly! this is the only c55 on CL in my area. for those that are going to be looking at this when the ad expires, it's a black on black c55 with 20k miles and the guy (who worded his ad in broken english) is asking $45,999 for it.

I'm hoping his typing is as bad as his english - perhaps he meant $25,999?

I SALE my car - must admit I got a chuckle out of that.

I don't think you'll have a problem getting that much for your car

agreed that car should go for no more than $28,000 unless it was a Brabus edition which is is clearly not.

Are the difficulties with going turbo motivating the desire to sell?

Maybe his car can actually "sail". Thus the high asking price

Somewhat. I may go with another car that is more (tuner) friendly. After looking on cars.com I dont think I can even sell it for 20.

For 3k-4k more you could get an E55 with about the same mileage or less. You would be lucky to get 18k. I plan on keeping my cars until the engine blows and then it's time for some sort of crazy swap.

Other than the disco graphics and aero parts , what does Brabus add???? Not enough for 400 HP either.

Yeah that is a great idea if you are not going ahead with the turbo project. Otherwise C32 with 185 etc might work for you?

Tim, go get a E55, then upgrade the pulley and inter coolers! You will be very happy with that trust me.... but you will give up some of the handling of the C55 so thats up to you.

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/2693013328.html he lowered the price again! now it's a steal! lol

off topic, sort of: i've been watching craigslist c55's for the past few weeks and out of the 4 that were on there, 3 got sold within 3 or 4 days and this is the only one left. so c55's are selling pretty fast, i guess there's more of a demand for them since pam beasley started driving one
