MIR will make up for that lol. These cars can get out of the hole quite well, just feed the throttle. My first run of the day was a 13.05 with a 2.04 60', then closed out the day with a 1.96' with a 13.04. If the track prep is good 1.9s should not be a prob.

Re: WHP
Reading through this thread, it seems that a tune with stockish exhaust yielded about 11 whp/15 wheel torque.
Going with Kleemann headers, no cats, and X-Pipe duals and tweaked tune yielded what looks to be 65 whp? Wow. One must conclude that the stock exhaust is pretty restrictive.
Very impressive gains....and kinda tempting. Your car sounds great too.

So I wonder how much off a difference was from the removal of the cats? You did remove all of them correct?
Also, has anyone dynoed the AMS headers to see what they yield with a tune?

Not by a long shot, but at least the second fastest on dragtimes The record NA without nitrous is 12.22 @ 112.98 with a 1.7 60'...
https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c...55-record.html
This was my first time ever at a drag strip, so I have a lot of work to do learning how to get off the line. It was mash-and-go more or less. Couldn't tell how much, but definitely one wheel was spinning. Got a few things to add before spring and I'll give it a go again.
No primaries or secondaries (although I'll probably get some race cats installed with V bands so I can swap them in and out as needed). Originally I had the secondaries removed and replaced with an x-pipe in anticipation of duals but I think it did more harm than good, other than sounding a little better. The design of the new x-pipe actually looks a lot different and I wonder if it also helped...instead of converging and diverging at the same angle (like a true "X"), the merge has a sharper angle so that exhaust pulses from either side are aimed at the center of the diverging pipes, which I would assume reduces backpressure by evenly dividing the flow to both mufflers. Then again, I know nothing about fluid dynamics lol

If you look at the dyno chart, the blue line(364.75/370.83) was the baseline with the Eurocharged off the shelf tune I got back in May. The red and greeen are after 4 sets of custom tweaking and redynoing.

That's a great run at : 1/4 Mile ET: 12.796
1/4 Mile MPH: 109.890
You're right there with my C32!!! That would have been a fun race, the whine of the C32 versus the awesome noise of your dual exhaust!!
You're right, BOTH cars would be traction limited and the ONLY way you're going to do better is with DRs and a Quaife (neither of which I have for the C32 BUT really need!!)
Here's my old run versus a twin snail Vette!!http://youtu.be/pxMe9ulHt1o

I'm holding my breath right now trying to pick up a Wavetrac LSD that was in the classifieds, someone else replied first but haven't heard for sure yet. Fingers are crossed! Any idea what power level I would have to be at to start worrying about DR's snapping axles? If it is a major concern, I may just stick to street tires and see how far I can go with that lol
Lol I don't think that's the video you meant to link to, but I'd love to see it!

There's a group buy happening on my other forum. The price is $1,075 shipped, as 7 lsd's are already sold. Better hurry if you're interested.
Here's the message I received from the company that's doing the group buy:
"They have the srt6 lsd in stock, they still have all the parts for them in stock....let me know if you want to be added to the list...prices are the same as the Jeeps lsd.
Retails for $1295+sh
1-3 orders for $1175 Shipped lower 48 4-5 orders for $1100 Shipped lower 48 5+ orders for $1075 Shipped lower 48"
Here's the link to the group buy:

I think here's my old run: I am in right lane and actually get the jump on the Vette. http://youtu.be/p3npNfphJX4
This was my 12.76 run at 109.22 and the DAs were not good that day.

Honestly the stock exhaust system sounds like the most restrictive and worst system I have heard of on any car. That is rediculous and I am skeptical.
What does the exhaust system setup cost?

I picked up the Kleemanns used from AMGSC here on MBWorld for something like $500 or $600 and the customer duals were a little over $900.
And as for the LSD, I ended up snagging the Wavetrac, should have it installed before spring

AMG definitely held alot back, that's for sure. I can't remember where I sasw it on here, but someone actually cut some stock m113 exhaust manifolds in half and I was shocked!

2 3/8" OD after the Cats
2 7/8" OD at the resonator
2 1/4" OD at the Y to the mufflers

There's a chart from Flowmaster, that shows the 3" single as the bottle neck and we don't even have 3"'s.
I put a single 3" flowmaster on my E420 5 years ago, I think I will build another one. We should convince flowmaster to build some for our cars.

Found the thread about the disected stock headers, pretty eye-opening!

As promised...my baseline dyno from back in June with only mods being eliminated secondaries and K&Ns before and same with Eurocharged tune after came out to 293.9hp/299.7tq before and 304.9hp/314.4tq after. Went back to the same place to get a more realistic idea of my gains. Today's dyno is with Kleemann headers and a dual exhaust w/ X-pipe. Gotta say thanks to Adam and Jerry at Eurocharged for taking so much time to tweak everything, and the remote tuning kicked ***! Video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKG3zY-09jM
For comparison, here's my dyno when I was running only kleemans, no cats and k&n's.
It's interesting we both have that little dip in power at ~3700rpm and a bump in power at ~5300rpm. Perhaps a profile of our cams that causes that?
Anyways, again, that's amazing!

So you have a custom dual set up with the x-pipe right? I might have to get this done asap lol.
Also, mine was done on a dynojet so your numbers are about right.

Wish I could have done a dyno before and after the duals, but driving down to VA twice, retuning, etc. would have been a real pain! The custom tune did help a lot, it added about 13ish hp/20ish Tq depending on the particular run. Hopefully I'll be getting the Wavetrac installed in the next few weeks, I'll make sure to get some better pics of the X pipe and duals. I will say that both the dyno operator and myself were both floored after the first run pre-tune lol. This summer should be a good one for the 55, lotsa goodies on the way, one of which should be a VBox so I can get 60-130 times and REALLY see how she's running.
I think I can explain the dip at 3700 (or so, Mercedes actually says it happens at 3900)...that should be the "dual resonance" intake opening the flaps in the manifold to shorten the runners for high-rpm power. I noticed it on lots of dyno sheets too...
Not sure about the bump at 5200 though, anyone else notice this on their dyno sheets?
