Belt alignment issue......help!

Hey guys,
Earlier this week I posted about my belt. I noticed some squealing and found this, you can see the belt is not on the tension pulley correctly.

Just replaced it along with the idler pulley and put a new belt on. The belt aligns perfectly with all other pulleys except for this one in picture (tension). The belt is a good 3/8" forward off the pulley. Could the crank pulley be walking out? Doesn't seem like it since the rest of the pulleys line up perfectly with the belt. The part was from dealer off of VIN

Is there a spacer that gets used on this one? This can't be right.

I know those idler pulleys go bad, i would suggest changing it, that doesnt look good at all.

That's the thing.........the after picture looks exactly the same but with a new pulley. The belt is still not aligned as I would expect.

Have you started the car and made sure all the pulleys are tracking true? If so is there a spacer missing from behind the idler pulley?
I've never worked on a c55 so these are suggestions off the top of my head. Good luck.

Yes, all other pulleys are tracking perfectly.......no stress/misalignment on the belt either. It's just that one pulley that appears to be "in" to far. The old one was the same way, hence why I replaced it. I'm at a loss.

Did you ever figure out the reason why? Mine is like that as well. I haven't changed any pulleys.
