Thanks for the welcome! I LOVE the car.

I had an early morning drive to the airport to fly across the country on Thursday and I didn't want to leave on my trip because I knew I was going to miss driving the C55, and I was right! I cannot wait until i get back tomorrow and get to drive the 60 miles home!

And thanks for the sunroof instructions!!

Do the ashtray delete (unless you smoke) and gain storage space and a 12v accessory plug instead of the cigarette lighter.

Dealer has the parts. Was $38 at the time I did it.

True, but around here a C55 in itself is rare. I have yet to see another one, I did see a pewter C32 recently but it was on I 95 with out of state plates.

For comparison, here's some # s for you:

C 55 AMG

2005 1299
2006 451

C 32 AMG

2002 1600
2003 878
2004 219

Basically, the 06 C55 is three times as "rare" as the 05 C55. And the 04 C32, that's a whole different ballgame in rarity along with E wagons and R63!!! I used to have the color breakdown but can't find it.

At those numbers I would consider all of them rare, the 04 C32 is ULTRA rare but I would love to see the color breakdowns, and even further the option breakdowns!!!

Gotta agree with you there Newzchspy, I've only seen the tail pic you posted of yours but I was definitely jealous! Mars Red was the only color I would have chosen over the Alabaster White, but I love what I have It's such an aggresive color (Mars Red that is...)! I PM'd some Mods on the AMG Private Lounge in an attempt to get some production #'s in regards to color, but no response. Any info you have, even if it's C32 specific, would be awesome!

Update: Tried to purchase the ashtray delete and what normally was a $40-50 part is not going for $150 because there is only one left in the country? EHH ill pass, I currently have the V1 plugged into the socket behind the center console and it works just fine for now.

Sweet. I just pulled out the ashtray and have been using the extra space for parking change and my keys. I'd like the real deal though.

Yeah I wanted the same, plus it gets rid of the cig lighter and gives you a real 12V plug.
