Update: Tried to purchase the ashtray delete and what normally was a $40-50 part is not going for $150 because there is only one left in the country? EHH ill pass, I currently have the V1 plugged into the socket behind the center console and it works just fine for now.
The part number is still listed in the price list at $60. Dealer is a joke if they're charging more than double. It's not like MB can't send more from Germany. Call other dealers - I'm sure you'll find one that will sell it to you for the listed price. If there is truly only one left, then it's in the DC somewhere and all dealers have access to it.

wish we could organize an east coast C55 meet... bet it'd be a huge turnout (though we'd miss out on the concentration of C55's in scottsdale, bay area cali, and chicago)

That would be great! Would be fun to see what some the more experienced guys have done with their cars. Mine is BONE stock, and I think I am gonna keep it that way.

My club has over 70 AMG members, and as far as I know is the only AMG club for the North East. AlabasterC55 welcome to the club. It seems from your posts that like others on this forum you will love your C55 for a long time! It's a fantastic car and open to tasteful mods. Only problem though is that most mods are expensive and mpg will suffer as a result of the driver's renewed enthusiasm.
