Had a blast on a track.

Went to thunderhill, with ZachG, it was a blast, huge learning experience driving in wet, completely different, for example stiff suspension doesn't work well in rain, but rather softer works better. Definitely coming back again, anyways here some pics and videos coming soon. Thank you CityTech.

Nice! Any more pics of the track day? I've been to Thunderhill before and I got a ride in a 400WHP miata.

What other cars were there? Miatas?

If you have the spare cash for a second set of tires, Conti DW's are as good as it gets for a rain tire that is not an R compound.

I hope your interior did not get too messed up with the water. I have tracked my crap cars in the rain and sometimes they got quite soaked.

2/10. It's a friday so perhaps fewer cars and even more open track? So how many C32s showed up?

I wish I could get some time on a dry track =P. It's a completely different game in wet vs dry -- I took a different racing line every lap depending on where I felt the grip was from the previous lap, where water was pooling etc. It's a real challenge!

I am planning on going to the event on 2/10. Any interest in going even if it's a Friday?

Its not the stiff suspension that's the issue in the rain, its the alignment (particularly toe settings) and the tires that are vital. Toe can be adjusted to affect over and/or understeer as well and that can make a BIG difference in the rain.

A "Performance Alignment", typically with Max Neg Camber, Max positive caster and aggressive toe (within manufacturers specs) is what you want.

great stuff guys! I have yet to take mine out on a wet track, but it sure looks like fun! I just dont trust these front tires in rain, in the dry they are sometimes unpredictable with the understeer! lol Glad to see you guys are having fun out there!

I got cheap tires on my car, in dry their good but in wet horrible, i still came out, hopefully next time it won't rain.

VERY good advice my friend.

Just keep in mind that toe out will ware your tire out in no time at all.

By the way, Castor ONLY helps high speed stability.

But it does make for some great trun capabilities, IMHO
