H&R Springs

Are H&R springs for the w203 platform universal? I'm just wondering if there is a difference in spring rates between springs made for the C32 v. C230K, C320, etc. Evosport shows the same part numbers for both springs so I'm inclined to believe that they are the same. However, I was wondering why H&R wouldn't develop a different spring given that the cars have different shocks.

thanks,
Jon L.

they are all the same. its just that too much $ to develope a different spring rate for the same plat form car.

Yeah, you can call them universal. But I wouldnt recommend you to put H&R springs on a C32!

And why is that?

I have had mine on for over a year now, and they are much better than stock. And for $248 you can't beat the price. If you are like me -waiting for a decent set of coilovers to come out, why drive around stock for 2 to 3 years while these suspension systems are developed.

I have put H&R springs, H&R Cup Kits and Renntech springs on my car during the past year. Renntech springs are pricey, but they are worth every penny of it. H&R springs tend to react too much to every bumps on the road. The shocks from the Cup Kit is not stiff enough. And Renntech has the most comfortable ride and handling has also improved A LOT.

We dont need to wait for a set of coilovers to be developed. They are already available: Bilstein PSS-9, Carlsson RS thread chassis and H&R CO. Reviews for these coilovers are all very good, especially for the first two.

Lets see some pricing and availability on the Pss9 and Carlsson coilovers. As far as I know the Pss9's can't be had he in the states. I have not heard of the Carlsson ones.
