Finally got some wheels

It took me awhile, but after waiting many months for a good set of 18" bremma's to appear, I was able to snag some from dustin819.

After researching about powdercoating, and getting confirmation from TSW that I probably shouldn't powdercoat the bremmas, I decided to have them painted at a local place called "Vivid Inc", they mostly paint small electronics in high volume, but they worked with me and went ahead and painted my wheels.

The guy said it's an extremely durable marine paint, hopefully it lasts .

They are 18x8 ET 32 and 18x9 ET 35. I had them painted gloss black. Planning to run 225/40 in the front and 255/35 in the back. Waiting on some gloss black center caps to arrive from China that I got on ebay, as soon as I get em they are gonna go on the car .

Here's some pics:

Wicked! Not sure if it's just the lighting but it kinda looks like black chrome esp. the 3rd pic. How much did they charge you?

Post up pics when you have them installed!

Short Answer: $400

Long Answer: I was originally quoted $150 for all four by the owner of the company over the phone (without looking at the wheels). After discussing it with their paint specialist, he was willing to do it for $100 a wheel ($400 total). IMO I thought it was a fair price and went for it. They stripped and beadblasted the wheels, then primed and painted them, they also painted the inside of the wheel flat black and the outside gloss black.

It appears that my factory lugbolts are ball seat type, and the wheels have conical seats... If I order conical seat lugbolts, can I just use the same shank length as stock?

I checked the front wheel clearance and it fits fine (clears the caliper and everything), unfortunately I didn't have a chance to check the rear wheel clearance, so I haven't confirmed that it will fit (though it looks like there's plenty of room around the stock wheel. The rear should be 14mm wider towards the inside and 8mm wider towards the outside compared to stock (including tire).

Take your stock bolts and measure how much they stick out from the stock wheel and take your stock bolts to the new wheel to see how much they stick out. The difference is how much you need to shorten the bolts.

You can get bolts from radusadirect

Radbolts have a great rep, but you can also get good lug bolts here at a better price, and there shipping charges aren't as crazy.

Ok so, I got some 28mm bolts from RAD usa, I went with 28mm based on some information I found on the forums. Trekman has 19inch Bremma's and used a 27mm bolt without issues. I got 28mm because 27mm was not available (figured too big is better than too small). After some measuring, it seems the new bolts stick about 1/4" deeper (farther past the wheel) on the new wheel, than the factory bolts stick through the factory wheel.

I measured about 5/8" depth for factory wheel. And about 7/8" deep for the new wheel (with new lugs).

Do you think 1/4" is OK? Or should I cut the bolts down 1/4"? I'm not entirely familiar with the inside of the rear rotor (drum area).

Thanks for any help!

1/4" might be too much for the rear. Best to keep as close to the same length as possible.

And....gigity

I unfortunately crashed my car Tuesday, and found out today that the insurance is going to claim it a total loss . Spun out and hit a curb really hard, airbags deployed etc.. was pretty dumb.

I am interested in selling the wheels if anyone wants to buy them, looking to get $1000 for them, as to recoup my costs for buying them and having them painted. Willing to negotiate, though I'm taking a big hit from the loss of the car so it's hard to budge.

I am located in the SF Bay Area, CA, In South Bay.

Wheels are 18x8 ET 32 and 18x9 ET 35

28mm zinc plated, and 24mm black zinc plated lugs from Otis LA Inc (same as RAD USA) will be included, these are sized to fit the C32. After the 28mm were too long I ordered 24mm ones (instead of cutting down 20 bolts).

Sigh.
