Just a thought, take a ride down to Schaumburg, IL. Take it to the carmax there, unless you already took it to a carmax up by you. Then the value will be the same. I would be willing to bet they would give you more money than the carmaxs in your area.

i took a look at "caraudio.com" forums since i've been sort of wanting to join one. i did not like it, first impression was seeing on the homepage "recommended online retailers" and not one of those were credible, i could already tell what kind of users were on there. i basically just use the W203 section as a car audio forum, that and i get an average of 4 people a week messaging me with car audio questions.

For sale is my 05 Silver C55. Currently has about 78,500 miles. Silver exterior and silver interior. Car has COMMAND and HIDs, CLK front grille, clear side makers and flat badge, brand new Hankooks with 200 miles. All stock parts will come with the car including a set of winter tires mounted on stock C32 wheels (10k on the tires). Remaining 3rd party warranty is transferable and expires 3/13 or another 11.5k miles. Alll work has been done at the leading Mercedes dealer in the area. Rear main seal, valve cover gaskets, newer front rotors and pads, and a few other thind I'm sure I am missing. I am the second owner. I have owned it for just over 2 years.
I feel the car is worth more than I am asking, however, in the upper midwest, these cars seem to have no value. I swear, there are c230's around here that cost more.
Car is in very nice shape with just normal wear for its mileage. The wheels do have some curb rash and 1 rear wheel has the clear peeling off. Unfortunately it was like this when I bought it and my intentions were to put 19s on it anyway, but never got around to it.
I'm not in any hurry to sell it, and I feel it is priced very fair. Let me know if you have any questions. I'm having some trouble with pictures today, so please let me know and I will send you some. Car is located in Milwaukee, WI

I think there are plenty of folks out there like me who will spot your ad and think nothing of coming to get it if it's better than the other alternatives out there in their price range. Don't sell yourself short by selling it at a fire-sale price - unless you need the money immediately. A well written ad with some great pictures will go a long way.
Good luck whatever you decide to do.

It's a very attractive price point. It should sell fast at that price, especially that most repairs needed at that mileage have been done already. If I was still in the market, I would have driven up there in a heartbeat.
I think the only thing that might keep some potential buyers from pulling the trigger is the ash interior. Black interior is more sought after. But at that price, I'm sure someone will be willing to sacrifice some of his preferences.
I got mine with only 60K miles almost a year ago for the same price. Seller was originally asking 17.7K, but after the PPI indicated a few repairs were needed, I was able to haggle it down to 15.5K.
It helped that the previous owner was very motivated (he was itching to jump to a C63) and wasn't really savvy about the car. My impression was that he's a typical loaded guy that just leaves the car at the dealership and does whatever the dealer says, then pays the bills. The repairs that were needed were not critical and are expected at that mileage (valve cover gasket etc).
The dealer quoted a crazy high price as expected, so I used that to my advantage knowing that it'll cost only a fraction at my indy MB tech. I pretended that it's a deal breaker and acted that I was about to walk away, so he came down a lot in price.

I think I'm going to take the advice of a few on here and throw it up on Ebay this weekend for my asking price with no reserve and let the free market decide what I get for it. My email has been flooded with scammers and low ballers. I'm sure I will have to deal with a few non-paying bidders (as I have in the past), but at least it will be more serious potential buyers.
Thanks guys, I really appreciate the input!

Well the good news is that when I list my car it's gonna be for a non-negotiable $20k even. So hopefully you'll sell yours quick!
