My c55 recently started doing weird things with tranny, in manual mode it starts in 2nd gear, even if it says its in 1st gear, and sport mode does same, it starts in 2nd then downshifts violently to 1st, same happens in sport mode. I understand Comfort mode starts in 2nd, but sport suppose to start in 1st on default right... So far i did tranny service, all oil, gaskets replaced, and tcu was reset, still does this, its annoying, i was reading it could be speed sensors or some valve inside the tranny, it doesn't do this all the time.... i had shop scan my tranny no codes, they said its working as intended.

have u did any wire taps on your shift knob? if you wired it incorrectly, W/C mode can happen all the time. happened on my C320

I think he might be talking about a transmission connector underneath the car that is prone to leaking on w203.

Yes, I think it's on the front pass corner of the Trans pan, just above it

checked the cable near tranny pan, cleaned, it was really dirty, took out car for test drive now car stuck in 2nd gear with cel, seems like I'm stuck in limp mode, need to pull codes, my feeling its speed sensors gone bad...

Interesting. Mine would randomly switch into "C" by itself, but no issues switching back. It happened a dozen times, but hasn't happened for a while. I had tranny work done right before all this happened. Is this something I can spot easily without pulling stuff down?

so i had tranny leak, fixed it today refilled new fluids, new filter, gaskets now seems all ok, i also had cel said something about Incorrect Gear Ratio, which i think because my fluid was low.

Tranny started doing the Same thing, sometimes it starts in 2nd then downshifts to 1st gear in manual and sport not all the time, can conductor plate can cause this or speed sensors? I got no cel btw.

When I had mine replaced, they called it "tranny o ring."

I had it replaced for 25 bucks if I remember correctly.

Yes, it's the transmission connector. There is an o-ring on it that leaks.

So my torque converter and pump went bad, did this happened to anyone car is only 06 with 89k miles.
