I took my old terminals to work today and checked them (I knew I had seen them before somewhere) and the one on the blue wire was loose as hell. These micro 64 terminals are really weak, now that I know what they are I agree with exactly what Cory said about unplugging them a few times. Chances are, anyone with a stock car will never see this problem.
Hi Guys,
I've removed the airboxes and the MAF but I can't seem to find the connector to the throttle body. I hope I don't have to remove much more from the setup?
Would you know exactly where on the throttle body the plug is so I can feel around for it? Is this a different connector from the connector to the Pedal Position Sensor? On the G the Pedal position sensor and connector is found in the engine bay just in front of the driver's side firewall. This isn't the plug I'm looking for is it? There is a different physical plug on the throttle body?

The connector for mine was on the bottom of the throttle body, I think I did the whole job standing on the right side of the car where I could see down there.

Thanks.
I just replaced the connector and terminals for the pedal position sensor since they use exactly the same plug and terminals and the plug was feeling a bit loose and it was easy to access.
The problem went away initially but now is back again.
I really need to get to the bottom of the throttle body. That's why I didn't see the connector on the throttle body. I didn't remove the elbow.
I'll update when I get back in there.

Just waiting for my second set of terminals and connector housing to come in. Then I'll open her up again. Meanwhile some more down time from using the car. Hopefully that'll take care of electrical problems for a while. Getting kinda tired of worrying about something going wrong with the car.
More updates soon

I think I've got this fixed. I put the new terminals in and let the car sit and idle for an hour with no issues and then drove it 10 miles with no issues. No codes reset. Hopefully all the readiness tests will run on the way to work tomorrow so I can get an emission test (what better time for that to come due). The part number I ordered was: 000 540 26 05. It came with the female terminals crimped on both sides so I ended up with 3 extras but Cory said the ones he gets have the male on one side and the female on the other. I just cut them and soldered them in. The connector is fairly easy to take apart, but if you haven't messed with connectors before it might not be. Let me know if you need help with that. Hopefully there is more room on your CLK, getting out the elbow on the throttle body is a bear on the C55.

Sorry to revive the thread, but those who changed their pins, how has it held up? I get either p0120 or p0221 codes intermittently (maybe once a month).
I have changed my throttle body for one with 70,000km, replaced the pedal (as did the previous owner), tightened the connectors with zipties and added dielectric grease but alas, the problem remains.
My only thoughts now are the pins on my connectors (pedal and throttle body) are bad, or a vacuum leak somewhere. Car runs amazing otherwise.
Update for anyone lurking: Changed my TB connector with a new one from FCP euro (cut off the plug, soldered new one on) and the car has been flawless for the past 6+ months. This was the solution to my problem as well, and easier than de-pinning.
