Purchased the Smart flash and try to install to C32 AMG but bulb out warning message was shown after installed .... too bad.
To cheat the ECU to trigger this fault. I connect a LED strip in parallel before the smart flash module. It works !!
I think it may not over load the rear SAM module because those LED loading are very very small. Let me try for some days.....

To made a higher eye catching or attention during braking by flashing the trunk lid LED, Hence to avoid a tail collision.
Of cos, it is annoying to others if under stop and go traffic. So, it has a smart design function that the flash will stop if you rapidly step on the brake within 20secs, starting from the 3rd press. Will flash again if 20secs no steps on brake

So when you hit the brakes it flashes instead of staying on? Simulating like you're getting on and off the brakes? That makes me think you're more likely to get rear ended. And if you do the person who hits you will claim your faulty brake lights as the issue. How is this a mod?

To overcome the canbus error you need to put a 130 ohm resistor across the third light - it draws c. 100mA so power rating for resistor c. 2W and above - a wire wound 10W is ideal.
