ANY TIPS For Fitting Johnson I/C Pump?
Hey Guys,
im going to tackle fitting the new Johnson intercooler pump this week...
any tips for fitting?
i know the wiring is different - but does it matter which way round you connect the wires?
also does the outlets need to be at a certain angle to help bleeding the system etc?
Cheers

buy the smallest c clamp you can find, it helps get the PITA hose clamps off. oh and 2 corks, they fit right in so you don't lose too much coolant.
Try to position the pump a vertical as possible so that the brushes of the motor will not wear off quickly. ---->i read a DIY on how to rebuild them and said one of the main causes was the worn out brushes of the motor b/c of it's horizontal position. I was able to manipulate mine into a 60 degree angle.
Lastly a six pack of your favorite Brew

Thanks John!
As for the wiring I take it I just cut off the original connector and replace with spade terminals?
Is there a certain way the wiring goes on?.....I mean I don't want the pump to be working in reverse lol

remove the plug from the old pump and solder it to the new cm30. now its plug and play. also wrap the cm30 in a sleev of pipe insulation form lowes and it will fit in the oem rubber sleeve

I just cut the wires and redid the connections. I figure I am only going to replace it a couple more times maximum ever. I have my write up in my signature. There are a few writeups around.

Yes. Red to red and black to brown (since benz decided to be different to most other car manufacturers and use brown instead of black for ground).
