Anyone else's rears go real quick?

At 10K miles, one rear tire (right rear) is toast, its a slick, and the other is pretty bad too.

Drive agressive, occasioanly esp light blinks from stoplights, and I have shut esp off maybe 5 times in 7 months and lit them up...for about one second max. No brakestands or anything.

Are the Pzero Rosso's supposed to wear this quick?

Also, where can I find two rears the cheapest.?

stock PilotSport on mine at 20k miles. Both rear has touched the indicator thing in the groove. It's still good for at least another 2k. Occationally mad dash from light to light, but never turned off esp and usually hard on freeway junctions and entrance. Only once the tire chirpped going into second gear on a 70degree spring day.

the cheapest sports tire at 245/40 17, currently I believe it's the Yokohama ES100 at $106 a piece. CynCarvin32 currently just put'em on with initial compliant on not gripping as good as pilotsport. waiting for more opinion from him after he puts more miles on the tires.

Just got new shoes today. I have 11,400 miles and the right rear is almost a slick, the left rear not much better. Fronts were OK in the center but had almost no tread left on the shoulders. These were my original Pilot Sports. I replaced them today with the Goodyear F1 GS-D3's and quickly remove the mold release

Please pass on your impressions of the Goodyear F1's. I'm trying to decide between those and the Toyo T1-S when it's time to replace my OE tires. The Pilot Sports are getting close to the wear bar at 12,000 miles.

I've pretty much decided I'm going to go bigger on the tires with a 235/45-17 front and 255/40-17 rear combo.

Not sure how much opinion I can give as I don't track or autoX. The very reputable tire shop I've been using for over 20 years tells me they have excellent wet traction and should wear a little better than the Michelins....depending on driving style of course.

I have good experience with both the Michelins and the other OE tire, the Pirelli P-Zero Rosso. Go for the Pirelli hands down for dry weather driving. There was some speculation by myself and others that a 235 front setup could cause more understeer on a completely stock setup due to some track issues, but our data was somewhat flawed. We haven't thought much about it ever since. Please let us know of your results (post on the other forum) I also have some experience on a C32 with the GSD3, but not with stock sizes. Having not driven with the T1S I cannot compare. However, the GSD3 is clearly better than the Pilot Sport.

I'm deciding between the GSD3 and the Pirelli P-Zero Nero which not many have commented on.

Frank, 20k miles? Sounds like you don't drive canyons as often as you should!

I had Pirelli P-zero Rosso's. They wore out at about 9500 miles. High performance tire + 350 HP RWD car= Quickly worn out rear tires

why doesn't anybod talk about Nitto

I got about 9 k on whatever came stock, but I drive it like I stole it. The fronts where fine, but the back were to the wear-bars. Why doesn't anybody talk about Nitto P555's? That's all that anybody has locally to fit my rims.

95% of those 16000 miles are highway miles - 65mph, cruise control and around 3000 of those miles went to my winter tires. the front tire outside edges are almost worn down and will be replaced soon but the rears are good probably till 22,000 miles

so I take that everyone with C32/C-coupe C7 pkg has the front tire wearing on the outer edge problem. I had my fronts rotated around 10k miles, so that the outer edge goes to the inside on the other side of the car. The center of the front really doesn't seem to be wearing a lot.

however, all the example I've seen wearing on the outer edge are all mounted with PilotSport, don't know if it's the problem with the tire or not?

Frank, I have had similar luck with the Pilots. I have about 19,9XX on them and the rears are into the wear bars. The front I am really surprised that the cords are not showing on the outside edge they are so bald.

Kumhos are next. I have Pilot Cups for the track.

I have "Heard" that they are a good tire. I'll probably go with the best brand that my wife's friend can hook me up with
