c32 problem.. help!

hi guys,

I got a c32 back in 2004 and I only have about 50k miles on it because i am actually living/working overseas. I only drive it a total of 1 month every year i go back. However, this time when i went back to drive it, i have noticed some power issues. For instance, when i step it all the way down on the freeway, the torque doesnt kick in, neither does the car accelerate quickly. Basically, it takes sometime to accelerate. Another incident is that when I am driving uphill, it feels like the car doesnt have any power to climb at low rpm, even when i down shift gears...

what has happened to my car??!? do i need a new car? or a new supercharger? pulley? thanks for the advises

Sounds like you need to replace your intercooler pump. This is one of the most common problems on the C32 and if it hasn't already been replaced then its likely to be the culprit. A faulty intercooler pump will cause your car to feel sluggish, almost as though the supercharger is absent.

I have an 02 C32 and was experiencing the same -lack of power- issues and replacing the intercooler pump made the car drive like new again. I replaced my faulty pump with the Johnson cm30 intercooler pump. Its an aftermarket replacement part that will cost you around $120 - $160. Some members have used other parts but the cm30 is a very popular one. Good luck.

Correct! The CM30 pump is the way to go. I was experiencing the same symptoms before I changed mine. Ever since then, the problem has been absent. I would recommend starting with the I/C pump.

2003 C32 AMG WAGON W203.265 (De)
There was an IC pump issue on my C32 last month.
After changing IC pump and check the fuse #5 and relay in the rear SAM, the supercharager still didn't work.

The engineer assume the rear SAM or front SAM have some problem but no error code beside (M44 IC pump power short ground etc...). The engineer add a relay between front fuse box (fuse of key start position) and IC pump using the wire directly to battery.
When the key is on ,the IC pump is started with battery power without pass through SAMs.
But the supercharager still wasn't worked.

Thanks God!
Finally , acoording the fuse chart in this site, I rechecked front and rear fuse #5, #7 #51(looked normal and exchanged with #49 the same amps) and #18 (there is NO relay on C and D in the rear SAM) in the fuse box and found my #18 fuse was broken.

After replace #18 (exchange with #5 7.5A) and all function runs well and got lose power back!

This result shows the SAM and FUSEs are different from years!
Thank you for who provide fuse chart in this side.
