I don't, fronts are showing uneven wear after 17k. I know I need an alignment though.
Inside wear?

N/A
On the fronts you are most likely going to get cupping/feathering on the front right tire on outside depending on your tire tread pattern and if you are using a non-directional tire. This is caused by the tire tread patterns facing opposite directions.

If you have a non-directional tire you can cross-rotate side to side to every 5k miles to help reverse/reduce cupping/feathering and get better life out of your tires. (it will basically wear the tire in the opposite direction) You can do this both front and rear as long as your tires are non-directional.

Also you will probably notice the right rear wheel wears faster on the inside, this is because this is the primary drive wheel and our camber setting.

According to the dealership both of these issues are normal for Mercedes. Even when you have a perfect alignment due to the camber our cars are set at.

ok, I'm seeing a lot of you guys are running 255-35's in the rear. I bought the car a few months ago and the PO has 255-40's in the back. They are wearing just fine & I know its not much difference, but I'm curious why he went that route...
...no wonder the *** seems up so high
