good track car

I love driving my c32 but am not to excited when it comes to costly repairs. That's why I'm looking into getting another car for the track. Any c32/c55 owner involved in amateur track events? If so what car are you using or would recommend to do so that would also keep daily car qualities.

I don't track, but a miata is a good starting point. You can find cheap replacement parts and it's fairly easy to work on.

924S or 944... or maybe even 190E with good suspension setup.

I was getting a 92 accord with a H22 type S motor for 4K until the motor took a crap that was a ideal price for the car and replacement parts. With that in mind, 7K would be my limit but if I find a good deal I'll go for it. ddtham, I was thinking of a 190E where would be a good place to locate one?

190Es are extremely cheap to get, except Cossies that can still command a higher premium.

I got mine locally for $500 and mine was a 92 2.6 that runs well and has 0 rust. The car is actually quite refined, fun to drive and extremely cheap to repair.

If you have a budget of $7K and want to stick with a fun German car, I would go for 2.3-16 Cossie with dogleg tranny.

Haha umm.. Sorry I'm not familiar with what a cossie is. What is it? And where would be a good place to find either one? And where do you get the parts for yours? I'm in Texas.
