a car that can't do the throttle reset.
another terrible pointman thread: car key and regular keys.. together??

I warned you, as usual, in the thread title!

I carry my car key separate cause I fear the regular keys messing it up. How do you brave folks like to carry your keys? Paranoid like me, I hope.

I keep my spare key in the center console so that I am not left stranded again when the 1st key fails.

why don't ya invest your money in a leather AMG key pouch?
you chose which one fits your key.
this way you avoid damage and scratches to your keyes.

Thanks for the link. Do you use one? I imagine its a pain having to unbuckle it every time.. especially in a busy stop and go type of work day.

the only reason I don't separate them is because I'm worried I'll forget one group or the other. So, I have my apt, office, home, my AMG, SV650, gun case, gym fob, GFs Mk5 Jetta, Ghia, and Rammstein keychain - all together. FML

Holy crap. Do you carry that in a backpack or duffel bag?

I haven't noticed, but now I'm paranoid. The key looks good & was well kept by the PO. I have only had the car 3 1/2 months. Maybe I will switch things around though, if only for cleaner looks and piece of mind.

I've always carried the car keys separate from the rest of my keys, if you have more than one car, I'm sure you do too.

Leatherpouch is a snap on/off button.
just open and turn it aside, key is screwed into the pouch.
a great protector of your keys.

eclectic assortment of cars
My C55 came with a nifty leather pouch that Kowalski mentioned. At first I was iffy, but now I love it.

I'm with theunderlord too - I have multiple cars, and quite a few keys for the office, my house (front door, rear door, garage, gates) key to my parents' house, plus my speedpass gizmo for paying at the pump at the Esso stations I habitually use, so those are all together on a Porsche/Martini lanyard that a buddy gave me for my birthday years ago. Car keys always separate, depending on which car I'm driving that day. It would be too bulky to keep them all together, not to mention really annoying having a whole pile of keys smacking into my knee whilst driving.
