I was told by a dealer today that the AMG badge located on the trunk lid is not real and that there was only 30 Special Edition C32's made with that badge. Is there any truth to this? After all the reading I've done, I've never heard of this "special edition" C32.

Who's the idiot?

Post a pic of the badge pls?
I have never read anything to suggest that special editions were produced let alone 30. The rare stuff out of AMG are the 32 wagons and more so the 32 coupes.

Here's a picture of the badge. I've seen the wagon, but the coupe...? I wish I had one of those.

Can you identify anything that is different with your C32 compared to others? Or do you think the previous owner just found that on ebay?

that's an ebay batch! AMG wouldn't place it there.

I was thinking the same thing. They tend to stick to engine emblems, seats, trunk emblems, wheels, and sometimes a badge on the front bumper. Oh and the dash cluster...

Places where you'll see it while your in the car or looking "at" the car.. not in the trunk. And the only one I see as "hidden" would be the engine badge which.. well if you have an AMG you're showing off your engine.

The car is definitely an AMG. AMG badges all over the place, instrument cluster, seats, wheels, steering wheel, trunk lid. There is nothing that makes it stand out from any other C32 I've seen.

So, what your saying is there normally isn't a batch on the inside of trunk lid? Seems strange someone would place an ebay badge there.

My bad...not the steering wheel.

Well, I guess that is a fake AMG badge. Looks like I'll take it off. Anyone want it for $5 bucks?

Back to my other question: Does any know of a rare 30 car special production C32 AMG?

did the dealer say your car is spezial, made in few numbers being rare or were you discussing a car you were interested to buy?
seems like your dealer is full of crap.
meaning your dealer dosen't know very much about AMG.

stay away from that dealer, he'll end up ripping you off by giving you the false bs facts about spezial rare AMG's.
Most spezial cars I believe are in Germany, Japan and maybe Middle east?

you will get better and more akkurate facts asking your questions here.
