Power Seat Control Module - Do not buy from ProgramaInc
I wanted to share an experience I had from ProgramaInc on a refurbished power seat control module $243.
I ordered a Power Seat Control Module for a Mercedes Benz C32 AMG and it completely drained my battery like my defective unit did. Programa Inc issued me a replacement unit and it did the same thing. I spent over $32 in shipping these defective units back to them and $200 in electronic diagnostic fees from 2 separate dealerships to tell me what I already knew because Programainc claims they tested these units. I purchased a new part from the dealer and installed it myself and problem went away. They refused to compensate me for any of the shipping charges or diagnostic fees and the manager Andrea suggested the problem likely came from the passenger seat or that the dealership was likely trying to sell me their product and thats why the dealership was saying that the diagnostics pointed to the ProgramaInc modules being defective. I had to pay over $131 in expenses because I decided to trust doing business with ProgramaInc.
I know about the fix, however I'm selling my C32 and this was something that needed to be addressed in order to sell the car to the new buyer. Do not buy from these guys.

Lesson learned unfortunately. I have seen this kind of issue all the time and that's why dealers hate using aftermarket used or refurbished parts customers supply. Had you purchased this part from the dealer parts counter and it was found defective, they would have installed (for free) a new one without charging you any restocking fees or labor charges even if you didn't have the installation done at the dealer. I don't see how waiving a fee for a defective item is a favor. I also don't trust people that say we have sold hundreds of products and never had any problems. I am sorry, but in any business there are always problems even with NEW products. I find it even harder to trust companies when they register twice with 1 post, to post testimonials.

I agree with JonMBZ comment above, and I've been in this industry for a very long time. And I've seen defective brand new modules...very rare, but it is possible, and to say that the have never had ANY PROBLEMS on their product being refurbished, is INCORRECT!

So few posts on from the testimonials! Lol, no one here is going to fall for these tactics. That's insulting the intelligence of my fellow forum members. What's done is done Programa Inc, I've notified the BBB you deal with it. I gave you a chance to rectify my situation, you knew what to do to make things right but you didn't. Just deal with it. Hopefully no one here goes through this again with your company, and hopefully by word of mouth your company will slowly loose business and shut down.
Btw guys that statement is false. I was refunded the price of their refurbished unit and not the shipping costs. I paid $243 for the unit, the shipping costs were over $32 sending them all these defector units back to them. Haven't seen a cent.

SAME PROBLEM HERE
My wife had the same problem with this product. I eventually bought a new seat module from Amazon (they were cheaper than Programa's rebuilt crap). While talking to the seller I found out that they had a 100% warranty-return on the Programa rebuilt modules so they stopped selling them and only sold NEW.

No wonder Programa Inc Sucks
I found this article on the web and it looks pretty legit. Now I know why no one at Programa inc has a clue about anything: http://programasucks.blogspot.com/se...&max-results=1

MasterBenz, I realize this is a very old post so I apologize however I thought you might know. Is it necessary to have used but good modules re-programmed to your vehicle for them to operate correctly? If yes, does that have to be done at the dealer?
Thanks,
Brian
