C32 Engine Mount recommendations needed.....

Once the winter ends I'm going to finally install my EC Shorty headers. My C32 has 52k miles on it and I want to make sure that I don't run into an issue with engine mounts causing header damage. While I'm in there I think I'll proactively replace the engine mounts.

So what is best to use for a C32 with a 65mm pulley, headers, tune, intake, etc? Are there any or better options than stock MB units? If not Parts.com to purchase? Thanks guys.

I don't think it would need motor mounts at 52k...
Mine has 160k and they have never been replaced. Solid and smooth as a rock

Probably not........as I have no symptoms of an issue. I baby the car (probably too much) but prior owners might have flogged it quite a bit. Records showed perfect maintenance but I would just hate to crack one of these beauties.

Yeah that would be a shame, but you shouldn't have an issue if you don't feel anything in the mounts

How do you know they were never replaced? Mine went early.

Well I guess I really can't tell for sure, but the car only had routine maintenance till 65k miles ( so the carfax says) but the car did have oem parts that I had to replace that looked really really old. The car also sat for a year and a half in a covered garage

c55 motor mounts crack like toothpicks. (mine are toast at 48k) I didn't think the C32s had anywhere near the prevalence...

Mounts are not expensive and you should buy the MB ones. Since your installing the headers you will likey losen the engine mount anyway to get more space. Change it, better than cracking your header.

Marc, this is good advice you are getting above. You've got over $2K worth of parts waiting to be installed. A few more $$ will buy you peace of mind.
