Modded C55 vs Modded E92 335i
My friend just purchased an 09 335i 4 door. His car is bone stock except for the ECU tune that quotes 420bhp. This weekend we plan on doing a couple of spirited pulls against eachother. What can I expect? I haven't been able to find any information on this.
My C55:
- Secondary/Res delete
- K&N drop in filters
- Brabus wheels.....unsprung weight
- Eurocharge ECU reflash.
His 335i 4 door:
- ECU piggyback quoted at 420bhp.
What are your thoughts?

I'd have to agree with 60n5pt1.... 120 gain with an ecu upgrade? I used to have a Jim wolf chip on my twin turbo Z that supposedly gave it 60hp. I never had access to a dyno though, times have changed I get that...I'm thinking the 420 is a little optimistic. The car is a twin turbo, you would have to crank the boost up double or more to squeeze that kind of power out it without other mods to help it... It wouldn't seem very smart of a chip maker to do that, that's just screaming for problems.

Plus must be crank #s? I raced one witha tune only, from a 50 roll and it was no race. Granted with my E55, but I think you will do good, maybe close race get a vid!

BTW Correct me if I'm wrong, but, the 335 is a single turbo but with a twin scroll.

Well I'm wondering how much torque the updates gives the 335i. I personally thing its going to be very close. I hope you win but I'm not sure. I think the C55 weights more.. by like 300 lbs. Make sure the person recording sits in his car. =)
Also ditch everything you can in yours and don't tell him... pull all of the crap in the trunk plus the floor mats.. and don't eat anything for a day.. and hit the bathroom before you go out. =)

Is his car auto of manual? that will probably be the determining factor.
I've ran against regular 335 and 335is and haven't lost yet, once they are tuned and bpu'ed though, it will be a different story.

I have run a 335i coupe (from 0-speedlimit-ish) both stock and with a Jb4. Stock I had the advantage but with the Jb4 it was a completely different story. Be safe and let us know how it goes.

What are your hp/torque numbers from the Eurocharge 'reflash' id I may ask.
