Going to sell my C55

PRICE - 20k OBO

I'm not going to lie.. I love this car.. but I want a convertible soooo bad. I wanted to do a few things to this car... like the CLK63 brakes.. a manual transmission.. the CLK63 bumper... but then I just wised up. I'm going to get myself the CLK63 vert instead since it has all of that already minus the manual trans. So I'm "hoping" that the triptronic "or whatever you call it" 7spd in the CLK63 will get me further to what I am looking for. And because I said I'm in love with this car, I'm sticking with the same body style. So win win...

Anyways thought I'd post this here first so it would hopefully get a proper home.

So the car is a California raised car. Born in Germany. Recently moved to Massachusetts. Since I moved here I've barely driven him.. he sits in the garage all week and sometimes gets out on the weekends when its not snowing or salty. In fact I'm due for maintenance and I'm being told I have to do it in 4 days... I've never seen that. I usually see the maintenance due in X miles.. not days.

Car is nearly perfect.. there is a slight door ding that I'm going to address before being sold. Which will be done by the lucky place I find to detail him.

So as for now price is undecided but I'll consider reasonable offers of someone is looking for this car now. This thread is mainly to promote interest, and I expect that the "selling" part will take place next month or two. - Updated

-Info-
Miles: ~ 99,100 - All hwy as I commuted from walnut creek to red wood city for over a year. That's 100 a day.
Maintenance - All up to date. I have to do a service A in a few days.

Exterior Color: Iridium Silver Metallic
Interior Color: Black

-Options-
Premium Package -6-disc CD changer, rear window sunshade, rain sensing wipers
Lighting Package -bi-xenon headlamps, heated headlamp washers
Navigation

Brakes and Tires are brand spanking new. Have conti DWS's on atm. At most 2k miles on them.. might even be just over 1k.
Front brakes were done right after the shocks. I did them myself.. All OE parts. The new pads are nice since they don't leave any brake dust.
New motor mounts ~5k
New trans mounts ~5k
New valve cover gaskets ~ 10k
New rear main seal? The one that usually leaks.. ~10k - This and the valve cover gaskets were done by the dealership under the CPO warranty.

Upgrades:
-Bilstein shocks and H&R springs. Probably about 5k miles on them, maybe.
-Ipod connection kit with upgraded iPod cable so newer apple devices work.
-PIAA H7 extreme white high beam bulbs - Its like sunlight when you turn them on.
-PIAA extreme white wedge bulbs - These are actually just a very clean white. But not LED so they aren't super bright. Just clean.
-New OE Hella fog lamps. One of them the lens busted and so I bought 2 new ones. (Standard H7 bulbs are in place)
-Tinted rear windows. Lifetime warranty and no metal tint. (Solar Guard, NR Supreme)
-Phantom Footprints anti theft system.

Here are some pictures. I'll have updated ones once I have the car detailed and ready for show. However these are not that old.

Most recent shots done just before winter:

Exterior shots done right before the transport from California:

These are actually on the day of the transport:

Some interior shots:

Feel free to post any questions here. You can also send me a PM however I'd prefer here since others may have the same question.

Thanks! And don't be sad.. I'm not leaving.. I'm just dating your sister instead. She takes her top off.

No.. don't have one set just as of yet. On auto trader it looks to be about 17k... But surprisingly I didn't know that people got our cars without HID or Navigation. I'm thinking I'll list it at 20k and see what happens. Hell 25k and someone can have this car right now. =) But that price is in my dreams. And doubt anyone in their right mind would pay that.

Yeah I'm going to go with 20k. Mainly because its a California car that hasn't seen the salt still. We'll see what happens from there.

Around me there are more than a few C55's. So it'll be awhile before this one is sold for sure. Good thing I'm in no rush.

GLWTS Speed7... just wanted to say that I just picked up a C55 a couple weeks ago from NYC. Never seen snow, loaded: nav, hid, p pkg, no wood trim but everything else. 2005 with 64000 for $17300. It's good you aren't in a hurry to sell, if you're patient until summer you might get closer to your asking price.

Thanks,

Whats the P package? I've not heard of that for the C55.

Ahhh... when I see P package for the AMG's I think of performance like the P31 packages you can get for the ClK55 vert or the C63.

But you meant " * Premium Package" (6 CD changer, rear window sunshade, rain sensing wipers).

I thought that was standard... I guess I should be listing more stuff I have on the car then huh. =)

Yeah that's what I meant. I can't imagine a performance pack for a four door!!! that would be killer. they should have made a black edition c55.

Most of the cars I looked at had the CD changer, sunshade and rain sense but a couple didn't. I would say it is worth adding. (which I see you did).

There are a surprising number of C's available in the CT, MA, NY area.

Yeah I close.. It was really only worth 16k due to mileage and demand.. I got a trade in for 15.5k... and I didn't have to really do any work selling it. So I felt it was worth the trade in.

But now I have a car I can do more to and take it to the track. Plus an ECU upgrade increases the HP by like 77% apparently.

I'll be getting another AMG sometime within the next year or so.. so don't count me out. Just taking a vacation for now and hitting up the track.

Well.. I wanted a car I could break on the track.. Thats probably the AMG I'll be getting by the end of summer. I only have room for 1 atm.. and racing = more important to me since the whole Boston deal.

I was 50' from the second blast outside of Max Brenner. Just put things into prospective ie need to stop with the long drawn out plan of building a track car.. vs just going out and getting anything that I could to beat up on the track. Since that is where my passion lies.

The fiat could be decent on the track.. with a set of good tires I anticipate it to be fun. The power is there... and while its not a porsche it puts a smile on your face. I avoided it because it was FWD.. and I was looking at the BRZ.. but man.. the subaru is a gutless wonder. Only 100 ftlb of torque... so it can't pull itself out of the bottom end. You really have to wind it up to go anywhere. The Abarth has 170ftlb and with the turbo. A simple ECU update and you've got 196hp and 233ftlb at the wheels.

Oh and brake upgrades and suspension upgrades.. and well pretty much anything needed for the track is CHEEEEEAAAP.... and they make KW V3's for this thing. We didn't' get those for the 203.. only the 204's got them. And that bugged me since they are pretty much the same price.

Set of race slicks are cheap... pretty much everything because of its weight and size.. is cheaper. But what really what gets you is the noise it makes.. it just sounds mean stock... which is funny how loud it is in person.. has character.

So to answer your question in a long winded way.. I hope its a good track car.. but honestly I'm not going out to win any medals just to have fun. So it's something I can afford to run into the ground...

lol. Gotcha. Well, hope you enjoy it. Good perspective on "living now".

BRZ is a "cute" car when modded. But the lack of power, no thanks.

ECU gets you that much? Sounds kind of.. not true. But I'll take your word for it.

Well its a turbo car.. with an awesome version of v-tech.. but yeah.. I'll believe it when I see it too.. but here is a thread where they did dyno tests of the different ECU's.

http://500madness.com/500madness/for...=3687#post3687

But if this is true then it could be fun.

Thanks... I'll be back.. mainly because my wife wants a larger car to haul people around. And her words were "I'm going to miss the silver bullet (sad face)". So it's just a matter of time till I get another C55 or something better.

And I don't want to start over on some other forum with my post count.. I worked hard on this one.
